The problem with copyrighted music uploaded as videos on youtube is that you actually CAN take it with you. There are numerous programs and websites that can rip the audio only into an mp3 just by typing in the URL. Some of these programs are free, so people don't have to pay anything to get their music. It's just like illegally downloading music. You're not paying and the artist isn't compensated. I'm not saying I've never downloaded anything, but I can see the reasoning behind this.
