The only thing they shouldn't have taken away from non-paying players is the ability to make a personalized class.

IMO a very bad marketing decision.

I downloaded the game, made a champ and then realized my power sets were not customizable because I wasn't paying.

Basically they're forcing you to pay an initial month to even make the champ you want.

That, to me, reeks of greed. I've already spent like 70 euro on a game like LoL. I would've spent them on CO too, only if.

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT get this game. The box does not show that it's pay to play. When you get it, it promps you to use reoccuring billing, so even if you have a gift card credit card, you cannot join the game. It will then lock you out of your 30 day trial period. You wont even get that. Customer support will just tell you to use a credit card that supports reoccuring billing, so you just lose all of your money. Worst experience ever!

the only complaint with this game is the monthly fee granted there offering a lifetime fee but its $200 and for a $15 fee a month I'm not paying $200 just so i can play it every so often. so they should just erase the fee and have DLC you'll have to pay for that I'd be willing to spend money on besides the game itself

Did you activate your account? Go to the Champions site, Put in the CDkey You get, Then once it takes you to the billing Adress ETC hit Cancle (Dont hit X) If you hit anything else Instead of Cancel it wont activate, I had the same problem lol.

I can understand your point regarding the graphics. Still i think they could have refined the graphics a bit more considering the high standards that are out there these days. Look at TF2 for instance. Cartoony but refined.

Its not just the graphics though. Too me this game isnt revolutionary. It doesn't jump out of the woodwork. MMORPGs are so competitive. It needs to offer something different. I don't think this game does that for a late '09 game.

I honestly wouldnt know, because from my standpoint, I havnt played CoH since they released I9, and after that I was done with that for good...also, darkbunnylord brought up a good point that the PVP in CoH/CoV was incredibly unbalanced/untuned in the sense that if either side had x amount, whether it be 1 or 2 more players than the other, it was an automatic win, (atleast in things such as Siren's Call, etc.)...I wouldnt know if they fixed any of that, and I honestly dont care.

considering Ive played CoH/CoV for 4-5 years (quit 2 years ago, re-up it off and on), and I have 6 lvl 50s...I've pumped plenty and plenty of hours into that game, and believe me...like DarkBunnyLord said...the 100's of 1000's of mission areas you would have to do to get uber power slot enhancements and/or money/infamy, whatever you wanna call it...just got so, so..SO repetative. The fact that CoH *had* (at that time) NO end-game content whatsoever, except outdoor encounters was also a letdown.

I don't know, I had a love hate relationship with CoX.

On one hand I love the powers and character creation... on the other hand... the ludicrous amount of repetative mission area's (I mean how many times do you have to raid warehouse layout 2 for god sakes) killed it for me.

Though I haven't been back to give it a chance since the character designed level features.

Still, the lack of a pvp community is bothersome as well.
