  • How much is the dcc controller?

  • mine was about £100. I'm not 100% though

  • yes it is i am using a bachmann controller with hornby trains and hornby dcc chips

  • HI, nice vid!

I am a young and keen railway moddeler and wanting to convert to dcc. Is it possible to control a hornby loco with the bachmann controller? and the same to other way around is it possible to control bachmann locos with the hornby dcc controller?

    thanks

  • oh and also you can get wire from b+q, dobbies homebase

  • can someone tell me what to use for a hill/tunnel and where to get it from

  • ho what i use is chicken wire ir foam wire is not as messy and easier but you need to watch not to scratch yourself foam is also good but you need to be skilled to carve it and glue and it gets everywhere but it is really safe and good when you cover it so its 50/50 i just use wire and thats what i have always used even when i was tiny on my first ever layout

  • watch the bige61's vidoes there oretty good

  • @OOGAUGETRAINS use some plaster cloth and some wire mesh make a hill form out of mesh then screw it to the board then cover with plaster cloth if you are covering train tracks with a hill my advice would be put paper towels over the tracks so that any plaster that will prip wont damage your track also you get mesh from a diy shop and the plaster cloth from your local railway hobbyshop thank you and good look

  • yes it is from pullys from the ceiling

  • lol this is my railway it's just that i don't do the commentry bit.

  • nice

  • Very nice.Have you made the points live using the point clips by Hornby? 5*

  • make sure the decoders are not bashed around or come in to contact with any thoter materials, wrap them in insulating tape, but do not smuther them as they need air, hold them down with double sided tape to avoit wire damage.

  • @mecrazy5 Hornby decoders must not be wrapped that is what instructions say that come with it.

  • nice railway he has got coming along there i am in the procsess of building my model railway also is it from pullys from the ceilling sorry my grammer is not that good
