I think Demise might very well be the source of all evil in the Zelda universe. This would make sense, considering that his origins are largely unclear. Supposedly he led an army of demons out of the ground to attack the surface world. Then Hylia seals him away.
Who would've thought the source of evil would bear an uncanny resemblance to Berserker from Fate/stay night?
Not an entirely bad thing though. Demise has a sense of honor at least.

So my theory is that Ghirahim is actually like Fi. The spirit of a sword, or actually a sword himself. He seems to be the dark Master Sword. I think that he is Dark Link's sword, therefore making him Dark Link himself. This is just a theory and I don't know if this is true. Reply if you know more about Ghirahim.
Link, Zelda, Groose, (Courage, Wisdom, Strength? but Ganondorf had strength too)So when you kill demise you absorb him into your sword then put in the pedestal so that he can dissolve away, but if it were to be touched accidentally, would it be possible for him to enter the soul of somebody else, Link, Zelda, and Groose are the only ones who know its location... We know Link doesnt, Zelda stays generally pure the whole time, that leaves Groose who was strong and had red hair similar to Ganon....
I was very disappointed when he didn't transform into anything.He is supposed to be all powerful and all I did was sword fight with him.I've already fought 2 castle bosses as sword fights damn it!When I fight bosses in Zelda games I expect the battles to be epic and giant, not an enemy with better defense and attack and then its over.To be honest, I liked using my items along with my sword to defeat bosses in the previous games.

Demise was a fail. I honestly think he's one of the easier bossed in Skyward Sword. I mean common! After everything you did in the game, the final boss was EASY? Ghirahim was harder. Fail Nintendo.
@RandomTechUniversity Demise was a little difficult for me because I didn't know you could use the skyward strike. I ended up doing the shield bashing thing which wasted at least an hour of my day (not that I had much to do to begin with). Ghirahim was easy though.
@IIhauzz I just think Nintendo should have been a little more creative with the final boss. I mean Demise is just one to one swordplay. They should have added a little more effort with the last boss. Including that Demise said that his hatred grew bigger and he got stronger while he was imprisoned. I would have expected him to be a lot more tougher.
@RandomTechUniversity You're right. IMO, there should've been at least three phases or more in the fight with Demise like there was with Ganondorf in Twilight Princess. Unfortunately, if you look at the E (everyone) rating of the game, you knew that it was going to be a pretty easy game to get through. Fighting ganondorf in TP was entertaining because you got to ride on horseback and shoot a light arrow in the 3rd phase.
@IIhauzz agreed, boss literally took me 5 minutes to beat first try, was really surpirsed there wasn't more phases. beating ghirahim was a bitch tho, took me like 2 days
When you first fought him, how did you react to his attacks and when to attack? Me, I was all calm and knew to use the lightning at a right time. Though his first phase got me a bit, because of my inability to use the Shield bash well.

I really like this battle, cause you know.. No throwing stuff, no 6 six arms, no floating body parts throwed to your head.. Just fair and square, ordinary swordfighting

I liked the ending too, its a shame about Fi having to eternally sleep in the Master Sword. Midna will always be my favourite though, Fi comes just after!
Although Fi sleeps her eternal rest, she still guides the future heroes in their time of need. She never require a form to help her future masters, she guides them through life.

@TheGuitarifier I actually never figured that out. I just used 3 shield bash, slash pattern until he went down. This way looks much easier although this guy is kinda sucking at it. Guess it goes to show there are multiple ways to take down a lot of enemies in this game.
@SuperNEKO64 The shield is a ***** to use properly, I think he didn't want to deal with the timing so he didn't use it. I know because I can't tell you how many times my shield broke because I was off on the timing of the attacks...
I actually could not beat the game, that's why I watched the ending so I could know what happened. I would spawn just before the fight with demise with only 4 hearts, no potions or fairies. Tried to beat him like 10 times and just couldn't do it with that small amount of health. This game is the only game I have ever played which I did not complete because I simply couldn't beat it. In a strange way.. that makes me love it even more.
Woa, I had a completely different way of fighting him - as I did not realize you could summon the thunder yourself as well. I simply parried each of his blow with the shield ( 2 to 3 blows in a row) and you get a small window to hit him haha
"Apparently Link's fighting is godly"? What other humans do you see jumping 10 feet in the air, charging their sword with lightning while airborne, and jamming it into some demon monster person's gut? I rest my case.
@WoWfan924 yeah man. The trick is just to stand up close to him, wait for him to attack, and jump back. Right after you dodge just get a couple shots in an dodge again. Overall you might lose a couple hearts. When it gets to the skyward sword part you have to be quick. It took me a while to figure it out but you have to hold the wii remote like directly above your head. But yeah you dont need a shield.
@TheDeralte I think this might explain it. When Ganondorf touched the Triforce in Ocarina of Time, the pieces separated because his heart was unbalanced. Ganondorf became immortal (sort of) with the Triforce of Power, so he obviously kept his piece. I'm guessing all of the Links and Zeldas throughout the games were given the other pieces because of their connection with Ganondorf through Demise's curse. They're always meant to meet. It's like a triangle if you think about it.
@firestarter322 Well, Demise's curse sort of implied he'd always ressurect anways, no matter what, like how Dracula would always ressurect, and there'd always be a Belmont to fight him since the chronological beginning in "Lament of Innocence". And OoT, which, by chronology so far, is THE next incident, the immediate "It Got Worse" because Demise is a cheating bastard, and added to the curse, he will either ressurect *with* the Triforce, or recover it in fairly short order.
(pt 2) BUT, either because he cursed Link and Zelda specifically, or because Zelda is Hylia, or because OoT!Ganondorf broke the triforce; whenever he ressurects, he, in turn, *will* cause "a" Zelda with Wisdom and "a" Link with Courage to already be in place whenever he rises; in using the Triforce in his ressurection, he essentially ensured his own repeated failure by ressurecting the empowered Link and Zelda in turn, as well.

@Desilent49 I didn't know you could use the Skyward Strikes there.... I killed him the hard way, shield bashing and doing one slash only, carefully avoiding his electrified blade, after using 2 Navis/Fairies for the first time. Boy, this guy is just far too easy this way, the other way around was the only decent challenge in the game...gotta see what Hero Mode has to offer now!
To clear it up: Demise's curse was that after his defeat, an incarnation of his hatred would rise again and continuously battle Link and Zelda's descendants again and again. This incarnation is none other than Ganondorf himself. He was born to the Gerudo, and then became the King of Evil when he took the Triforce of Power.
I wonder, is the curse still in effect in the Wind Waker timeline, even after Ganon is vanquished and left beneath the sea? I don't see much chance of him returning.
Originally I had trouble understanding Demise's curse when he said he would rise again and than said his hatred for Link and Zelda would reincarnate itself, but now I understand. As the incarnation of hatred his physical body could be destroyed, but his soul would still live on. Eventually his evil spirit was able to rise again in the form of Ganondorf and so the battle between the Hero and the King of Evil began anew.
Parrying made Demise so much easier than he should have been. I honestky felt like I was using the fishing hook easter egg that was in TP. Oh well, he was a good boss. Better than most, but Gihrahim owns Demise. ALL HAIL LORD GIHRAHIM! XD
Also, I want to say, you fight very well Silent. You managed to handle him pretty thoroughly. He got a few good shots in - but still you defeated him.
I also watched your last fight with Ghirahim, and it really kept me entertained.

Bad things about this boss:
1. It is too short :(
2. It is hard at first shot, but is too easy later.
3. I need more of a challenge. He only takes one heart with one normal hit, two with charge attack.

I actually could not beat the game, that's why I watched the ending so I could know what happened. I would spawn just before the fight with demise with only 4 hearts, no potions or fairies. Tried to beat him like 10 times and just couldn't do it with that small amount of health. This game is the only game I have ever played which I did not complete because I simply couldn't beat it. In a strange way.. that makes me love it even more.

Woa, I had a completely different way of fighting him - as I did not realize you could summon the thunder yourself as well. I simply parried each of his blow with the shield ( 2 to 3 blows in a row) and you get a small window to hit him haha

@WoWfan924 The shield can be used but it makes it more difficult to charge the skyward sword. Try without it you will see

@WoWfan924 yeah man. The trick is just to stand up close to him, wait for him to attack, and jump back. Right after you dodge just get a couple shots in an dodge again. Overall you might lose a couple hearts. When it gets to the skyward sword part you have to be quick. It took me a while to figure it out but you have to hold the wii remote like directly above your head. But yeah you dont need a shield.

One thing stays unclear: Why do Link, Ganondorf and Zelda hold triforce pieces in most games?

@TheDeralte I think this might explain it. When Ganondorf touched the Triforce in Ocarina of Time, the pieces separated because his heart was unbalanced. Ganondorf became immortal (sort of) with the Triforce of Power, so he obviously kept his piece. I'm guessing all of the Links and Zeldas throughout the games were given the other pieces because of their connection with Ganondorf through Demise's curse. They're always meant to meet. It's like a triangle if you think about it.

@firestarter322 Well, Demise's curse sort of implied he'd always ressurect anways, no matter what, like how Dracula would always ressurect, and there'd always be a Belmont to fight him since the chronological beginning in "Lament of Innocence". And OoT, which, by chronology so far, is THE next incident, the immediate "It Got Worse" because Demise is a cheating bastard, and added to the curse, he will either ressurect *with* the Triforce, or recover it in fairly short order.

(pt 2) BUT, either because he cursed Link and Zelda specifically, or because Zelda is Hylia, or because OoT!Ganondorf broke the triforce; whenever he ressurects, he, in turn, *will* cause "a" Zelda with Wisdom and "a" Link with Courage to already be in place whenever he rises; in using the Triforce in his ressurection, he essentially ensured his own repeated failure by ressurecting the empowered Link and Zelda in turn, as well.

Thats just...well...the games even said the order in that ones, Majora´s Mask is after Ocarina of Time, and Phantom Hourglass is after The Wind Waker, sames goes for Spirits Tracks, that goes after Phantom Hourglass, not before

I killed him the hard way, shield bashing and doing one slash only, carefully avoiding his electrified blade, after using 2 Navis/Fairies for the first time. Boy, this guy is just far too easy this way, the other way around was the only decent challenge in the game...gotta see what Hero Mode has to offer now!

To clear it up: Demise's curse was that after his defeat, an incarnation of his hatred would rise again and continuously battle Link and Zelda's descendants again and again. This incarnation is none other than Ganondorf himself. He was born to the Gerudo, and then became the King of Evil when he took the Triforce of Power.
I wonder, is the curse still in effect in the Wind Waker timeline, even after Ganon is vanquished and left beneath the sea? I don't see much chance of him returning.

Originally I had trouble understanding Demise's curse when he said he would rise again and than said his hatred for Link and Zelda would reincarnate itself, but now I understand. As the incarnation of hatred his physical body could be destroyed, but his soul would still live on. Eventually his evil spirit was able to rise again in the form of Ganondorf and so the battle between the Hero and the King of Evil began anew.

Parrying made Demise so much easier than he should have been. I honestky felt like I was using the fishing hook easter egg that was in TP. Oh well, he was a good boss. Better than most, but Gihrahim owns Demise. ALL HAIL LORD GIHRAHIM! XD
