it sounds just like a gibson lp would sound if it had emgs, i guess i'll start to notice the differences between the two guitars when mine starts failing faster than a gibson would..

Actually it's not quite that. If i'm not wrong the big difference between a Gibson and an Epiphone is that Gibson have more handwork than Epi's and they are made in the USA, and Epi's are made in China (I think Epiphone was actually an independent guitar brand bought by Gibson) with much less handwork.

And then you have all the fancy stuff (like mother pearl ilays and nobs) they put in the gibsons to justify the high prices. Sorry for my English! Cheers!

thanks! actually they have a few songs in every album played in standard E tuning (the kids can eat, jaws, get mad, pardon me.....) they are all playable in drop D but easier if played in E, but other than that is pretty much Drop D
