I'm a huge fan of both bands, and I never thought this song was similar to "People Are Strange" until someone mentioned it. I still don't really. I could see how someone could say it's an influence, but I wouldn't say the two songs are even close to being identical.

Its Sunny Afternoon by the Kinks with I am Only Sleeping by the Beatles. By far one of the best songs ive heard in a really long time. Plus what a brilliant album. Kasabian have to be, by far, one of the best bands since 2000, no doubt.
