It's mostly just practice. If all you practice is playing the blues scale and using a wah, you will sound good doing it. At the time I made this video I had been playing for 4-5 years. in terms of playing "lead" guitar (scales) I only knew how to play the blues scale so that's all I did, hence it doesn't sound half bad.

im not a big fan of wah pedals unless they are used while playing something slow.. wah pedals can make it sound like your playing hella fast even with your only playing 8th notes at like 100bpm.. im also not a big fan of delay like people who use pre-delay and set it to 8th note and only pick the string once.. cheating is what i call it..

yes its really midless once you have one scale down intill you can play it 400mps and amaze people cuz "it sounds cool" but you'll only get as far as THAT. just playing really really fast scales wont get you up there with clapton and santana..if it was, fuck you, I and most of the youtube dudes who do this would be rich by now..Good video good point. now my fingers hurt :(

i agree with you completely. well almost completely. you really should be playing a Peavey guitar (or something similiar) thru either a Crate Amp or a Peavey amp. Line6 also makes a great tone squishing amp for under $100. a Mullet is also a plus. props dude !!!
