  • how do you tell if it is a boy or a girl

  • Where do I get one? XD

  • @Danimal556 I got mine from a breeder in Texas and shipped to me on an airplane(a bit costly). You can sometimes find them at small family owned pet shops, or local animal expos.

  • PLEASE RESPOND (: .. about how much would a female hedgehog cost with the little blue house thing you have ? thank you <3

  • @BeadlesBelieberJBCB Hedgehogs can cost anywhere from $75 to $250+ depending on color variation, age, and person you purchase from.

  • damn it i wanna steal one! D;

  • they r sooo cute i want one

  • MY BROTHER SENT ME THIS LINK WHILE I'M IN THE HOSPITAL TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER..... IT IS WORKING

  • @92BREEZEY Awesome! I hope you feel better!

  • Omg i have been looking for one of these forever <3 I LOVE them. Are these for sale?

  • @emogurl3399 none for sale currently. Check out local pet shops and animal expos. I wish you the best in finding your pet!

  • Is it okey, to pick them up at 12 days age? I´m thinking about the mother.

  • @Blaze143 around 2 weeks it is usually ok to start handling them. I would start with just handling a single baby the first day. See if the next day if the mother is ok with you handling them(if all babies are still alive and well the next day, then she didn't reject it due to you handling) - after you know it is safe to handle them, you can start picking them all up./

  • @earthling1984 oki, thx for answering=)

  • @AlleriousHD I got my hedgehog at an exotic reptile store. But they got a few rodents there too. Hedgehogs, sugar gliders, mice, and some squirrels

  • 3 people got pricked by them

  • where can you buy baby hedgehogs?

  • Oh I love the little one! She is adorable

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwe so cute!

  • @AlleriousHD Normaly hedgehogs are "wild" animals which should not be treaten like pets. The only exception to take one inside your house is when the "teeny-" oder "baby-hedgehogs" weighs less than about 450 gramms in Oktober. Then and only THEN you should help those animals to pass the winter. PLEASE - and this goes to everybody - DON'T treat them like cats or dogs.... a hedgehog ISN'T a pet; even if you can buy 'em in pet-stores. Thank you

  • are they for sale i want one for crishtsmas

  • @AlleriousHD at petco you can

  • @AlleriousHD they also sell them at petland

  • Are these expensive pets?

  • @AlleriousHD i found mine at a place called noahs ark. but i live in el paso so it might vary in you city

  • @AlleriousHD Anytime ;)

  • why does that one girl look soo smalll compared to the others ?

  • @BlCHIFY just a runt, not sure why, but she grew up fine.

  • @BlCHIFY i think she didnt want to grow up :)

  • @AlleriousHD Its pretty hard to find a hedgehog in petsmart, but there are sometimes where people will bring in an exotic pet they dont want anymore like an STO or a Hedgehog and they put them up for adoption. Cause one day at my local petsmart they had a couple of rabbits up for adoption (They normally dont sell them in my hometown).

  • @AlleriousHD usually not.

  • omg their feet are like people feet!

  • I want one!

  • Uhg darn you auto correct! I ment runt! Lol

  • Ruby* v

  • I want the ruby soooo bad! =3

  • When they curl up into balls, they remind me of those little purple fuckers I would step on in the oceans of Vietnam. Youre hedgehogs are cute little critters though :)

  • So, my 14 year old son and I are extremely interested in getting a hedgehog. I can see that you are a great owner and I was wondering what the best way would be for us to buy one. We live in Oregon.

  • I'd love to have one of them, beautiful!

  • Hey earthling my house is to cold for my hedgie what should i buy to make it warmer a heat pad or like a lamp?

  • @RojasChiller either of those is fine. make sure to test the temperature so you don't make it too hot. a small heatpad would probably be plenty, a large one may be too hot.

  • @earthling1984 shes about a month and a half i feed her wet catfood and boiled eggs, its fair not that fat/skinny also i bearley got her yesterday

  • @RojasChiller hedgehogs shouldn't be sold to new homes until 2 or more months old. at 6 weeks though, that is about when theys hould be separated from the mom, but shouldn't yet be in a new home. She should be eating solid food, so all you need to do is have hedgehog food, cat food(high protien - 25% or more, low fat - 15% or less fat), and feed some fruits, veggies, and insects from time to time. Eggs are an ok treat from time to time, but don't feed them as a main food.

  • @earthling1984 day b4 yesterday

  • They look like nuggs. Put one in a bong and smoke it.

  • omg its so freakin cute im gonna die

  • I MIGHT GET 1 THERE SELLNG THEM AT MY PETLAND

  • @TheKoopaKings

Try to stay away from pet store hedgies because they are bought from mills. I reccomend finding a breeder in your area. Pet stores also don't usually know how to care for hedgehogs but a breeder will.

  • @xXxPoOkAxXx ok thanks alot for the tip yeah i did,nt get them when they were there because they were like growling and curling in balls there was won that was nice but i rather go to a breeder thanks to your comment

  • real Pokemons !! :D

  • It must be painful for mama hedgehog to give birth to those prickly little fuckers.

  • @GenesisTree their spikes are actually very soft when they come out, and for the first day or two. They start to harden up after a couple days then.

  • @earthling1984 Actually, the hoglets are born with their spines under their skin and they poke through a few hours after momma cleans them off. God knows how to treat his mommas right. All births could be way more painful lol

  • @GenesisTree ahahahahaha

  • i want one i dont care how much money or how far i will have to drive im coming to get one!!!

  • Hey i have a question does North Carolina allow hedgehogs cause i saw one in a wildlife place for kids that sometimes i go to in Kinston and they had one, My dream is to hold and touch a real hedgehog.

  • @Alleycatt252008 do a quick google search, I am not sure myself off the top of my head.

  • @Alleycatt252008 yes you can have them in NC i live there myself and plan on getting one very soon if my parents let me BTW earthling what color and such are cheaper because although in not super cheap i don't want to spend a very large amount of money pricklypigs (dot) com < there r in NC

  • omg they look terrible when they are small :S

  • "One day I'm gonna be like Sonic :D"

  • Search 'african pygmy hedgehogs for sale' - Look at the video's added recently and look in the information to see the website that has them for sale. Hogs ready to go for Christmas!

  • awwwwww but they looked like srivled up rags

  • yo dude me again nice hedgehogs you must really love animals to care that much

  • my mom says no more pets i have a dog and a cat and a fish any suggesttions?

  • Did the runt of the litter end up surviving?

  • @akishisen yes

  • Aww too cute<3

  • i want one so badly... but i live in California... so... i cant buy one.... sadness....

  • @nonibrutal aww :(

  • @nonibrutal how come you can't buy one? is there a law there against baby hedgehogs?! or.. wait did you mean one of those in this video lol :) also, i am going to get one soon! i wonder how much they cost ;)

  • @MrPeak111 Hedgies are illegal in the state of California, as well as Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Georgia, and without two specific permits, Maine.

  • they mean... are you hurting their spines by the way you are holding them? they look fragile when they are that young,... what way should you NOT hold them?

  • They're adorable!!!! Do their "spines" hurt if you hold them wrong?

  • @platypusman511 Thanks. They can be a bit spikey but they don't usually hurt at all.

  • Where did you buy them from?

  • HOW CUTE! You are pretty lucky.

  • are they all females

  • i know get 1 hedgehog a month i keep some and sell most of them i also breed your the people who inspired me to breed and buy hedgies

  • @mrannotions know what if you mean now that would make sense

  • how do you clean the cage?

  • @malishmalishin empty the bedding, wipe, and refil.?

  • @earthling1984 smooth >.>

  • did all of them survive?

  • @jianfongyaw yup, they all did. They are all healthy and very nice tame hedgehogs! :)

  • Why do you sparate the babies from their mommy? Not in a mean way, but it's like when dogs have puppies, you don't separate mom and babies. :)

  • @CheekyMinx111 They need to be separated around 3 to 4 months at the latest or the males will start to try to breed with their sisters & mom.

  • @CheekyMinx111 It's just so he can show them to us without the mother interfering.

  • @CheekyMinx111 Actually sometimes you do because a mother dog tends to roll and can suffocate her pups

  • @CheekyMinx111

He separates them so he can touch them without mom getting defensive i'm sure. He's a breeder so he knows what he's doing.

  • @CheekyMinx111 bacause the mom eat their sons if you dont do that

  • What do they eat?

  • @ParaglidingManiac babies eat from their mom, adults eat hedgehog food, cat food, insects, and other things.

  • lolz they curl up when there scared! they probably curl up to keep warm!!

  • aww they are so adorable!! i didnt know you could have them as pets!!! that's pretty awesome!!

  • Are they for sale

  • do you live near chicago?

  • @earthling1984 YES! I LIVE IN CHICAGO! are there any available?

  • @ilani1000 currently I don't have any hedgehogs available. I do have some STO's that are about 4 months old.

  • @ExoticAnimalsRAmazin sometimes mom kills runt sometimes rarely!

  • name one sonic!

  • would you recommend them

  • Yes, they are great pets. Just make sure to buy from a good breeder, so your hedgehog is nice and calm. Some 'pet store' hedgehogs can be meaner. You want a young hedgehog(under 4 months, preferably under 3 months) and you want it to be calm, not bite ever, and not curl up too much

  • I like hedgehogs becuase they dont bite alot they curl up. But most of them are also bfrom 150 to 100

  • how much do they tend to cost . how old can they get.

  • Hey, they cost anywhere between $75 and $200 for the majority of the color types. Some cost more for special color varieties. Average lifespan is 4 to 5 years, but they can live up to 7 years - 8 years even in rare cases.

  • look! mom laid a turd...good video tho;)

  • Yep, I'd curl into a ball too, if a big hand came down and picked me up!

    Nice.

  • I want the runt ^^ co cute XD

  • r u selling them??!

  • is it hard to breed a hedgehog and how old do they have to be to breed them thanks

  • I do not recommend breeding them for the 'fun' of it. They are not easy to breed and often times the mom eats the babies if disturbed. They are great pets, but again, I don't recommend breeding them.

  • they are awesome... where do you find hedgehogs??

  • Some local pet shops have them, otherwise, look for a breeder in your area.

  • do you know if there are any legal problems with having them?? i live in California, so like i can't buy ferrets or gerbils, but it's ok to keep them as pets. so just wondering if its the same with hedgehogs

  • I think hedgehogs are illegal to keep in California.

  • yea... i just googled it and they are :(

  • So CUTE!!! I am glad to see the runt has grown well you can still tell it is smaller then the other but good to see its growing and seems not as shy

  • The runt is so cute lol

  • I want the runt to come live with me<3

  • oh yeah its a girl

  • i just got my lil 4 month old salt and pepper yesterday!
