  • Here, ladies and gentlemen, is the problem Lexus, Infinti, and Acura all have:

THEIR CARS ARE UGLY!!!!!!!! They have the luxury and tech, but don't have the style and class of a BMW, Audi, or Mercedes. So, what's the solution? Honestly, I don't know, either focus on luxury and tech 100% or design more cars like the current Lexus IS- that's the closest Lexus has ever come to matching the Germans in style. This new GS is a step in the wrong direction!

  • @kingfarticus Design is a matter of opinion, sir. You're also forgetting the most important part of a luxury performance sports car - the drive.

  • My favorite

  • The real reason why Lexus is not using an 8-speed in this car is not because of "gear hunting" it's beacuse of costs. Lexus decided at the last minute to redesign this car and had to keep costs down because of the rising value of the Yen. The original plan was for this car to be discontinued but American Lexus engineers convinced Toyota in Japan to give this car another chance..

  • The hybrid version is a waste! The reason they're keeping it is because they ditched the V8.

  • I test drove this yesterday. I can buy the f sport cash right now no problem. I already have an 08 Lexus gs which I will give to my 19 year old brother. Once I buy this in a few weeks.

  • @acuratlnigga Good for you........thanks for telling us that.

  • Lexus just disappoints -- no gain in horsepower for going F sport! When are they planning to seriously take on BMW M series, Audi S and RS class, or the Mercedes AMG - as usual just another big toyota downer

  • @toh3211 The F-Sport is the equivalent of an AMG Package equipped E Class, an M Sport equipped 5 Series, or an S-Line Audi A6. Such options are usually cosmetic, changing wheel size, body kits, interior trim, etc. In the Lexus GS F-Sport, there is some suspension adjustment available.

The GS-F is in supposedly in the works, and it's rumored to have a detuned version of the LFA's V10 (this is unlikely, though). The GS-F would compete with the E63, M5, and Audi (R)S6.

  • eh

  • Sit it on some 22's

  • does anyone know how much money people that do this make? i would loove to do this as my job

  • this GS felt soooooooooooo good just sitting in it. the dealership had only 1 . this baby will be a hit.

  • I doesnt matter if the rear bumper look like a sonata couse sonata look good too

  • LOVE this car.

  • Great car but don't you think the rear looks like a sonata

  • Can you get the F Sport with AWD?

  • One........two........Lexus coming for you......

  • This is the best in the class. Bye bye BMW, Mercedes. Audi A6 comes close though

  • id take this GS loaded loaded with AWD and with all the tech packages and Nav over the 5 series loaded too

  • the interior is soo nice

  • SEXY car ! That interoir is awesome... Home run again Lexus. It looks even better with the 19 inch optional wheels.

  • The interior is fantastic, but the exterior profile looks like the old BMW 5 Series... Which isn't good when the new 5 Series is out.

  • god damn it looks fugly.

  • I think this and the Audi A6 are the best in class.

  • You watch me drive a Corolla from the bus

  • The most racing Lexus sedan ever made

  • awesome video this guy is one of the best reviewers on youtube! keep up the good work!

  • Can't wait for an F sport model

  • cool reviews dude!

  • The inside is now outstanding, the outside too. Lots of tech and better handling. I'll take this Lexus over any competitor. Then the Audi. I would like yo see the new LS with all this And more

  • Drives better than the Germans, and isn't derivative in style like the 5-series, or just ugly like the E-Class

  • @BlackDynamiteNYC

You're not even the uploader of this video lol.... the car isn't even released yet.

  • @jsiszero Slow your ignorance. He wasn't the only one at these events.......

  • @BlackDynamiteNYC

That doesn't hide the fact that you aren't at the event. I was in the event too if you are.

  • @jsiszero You hate that I drove the car, and you didn't, and that's........ok

  • @BlackDynamiteNYC

It is, because I drove the LF-A. You drive a Corolla.

  • @jsiszero You drive the bus. With your credit, security won't let you within the same zip code as the LFA

  • @BlackDynamiteNYC

nice comeback, that's because you don't know that anything has better soul than a Corolla.

  • Great review! Informative and very well done! Keep it up TOM!

  • Is lexus trying to save money by using the same headlights on THREE models?!? first IS then CT and now GS!! WTH is going on here?!?!!!!

  • isn't the "spindle grill" first introduced in the Infiniti lineup?

  • @jsiszero No, but thanks for asking

  • Lexus' steering wheels are still so ugly

  • Tail lights looks like a Sonata's and the interior is similar to a BMW but I still think it's a great improvement. Interior is nice and I like that new front.

  • This car really is great. The review was great as well

  • 4:52 I think they should have done a better job with the tail lights. It looks too similar, if not identical to that of a Hyundai Sonata.

  • I LOVE japanese cars :)

  • Wow, a huge downgrade from the 2007 GS I have. Interior looks like a BMW instead of the great design the previous gen had. Exterior looks like a facelift basically, with an ugly rear and a ugly front. The 2GR-FSE engine remains unchanged from 2006. You might as well buy the older one and spend a grand or two upgrading the suspension to match the new one.

The only good thing I see is the spare tire is no longer that awful yellow colour.

Lexus is really going downhill these days...

  • Looks like the new Camry from the back...smh

  • @MacSaab93 wtf no it doesnt...

  • Nice Shirt Tom!

  • excellent review good job

  • Is the Hybrid model rear wheel drive?

  • @OneOfaKind949 It has to be. If it were front wheel drive, they'd have to call it an ES.

  • Best review yet on this car.

  • i like it.

  • interesting design...
