@SirZidane It's called proper level design. Sega isn't sacrificing gameplay to be a little consistent.

When designing the level layout, they need to have bottomless pits to add a challenge. Would you rather they have a topical island that just hovers thousands of miles in the air so water is consistent? I know I wouldn't

With that in mind; the water that sonic can swim in is calm, and he can jump out of it.

And the water that kills him is usually raging, and can't be escaped from.

Love how Classic is based off of DS Colors and Modern is more on Wii Colors. Great idea to incorporate both versions of the game.

Act 1 is the DS version and Act 2 is the Wii version, if you know how they did the stage layout.

My favorite Generations 3DS stage would have to be Casino Night. Coolest stage in game, next to Radical Highway and Emerald Coast. Green Hill is alright, Mushroom Hill is looking really good, Water Palace is my least favorite stage, and this stage is incredible for a last stage. Overall, this game looks amazing!!!!
