The cheerleaders at my high school once had a cheer at a pep rally in which they turned around, flipped up their skirts, and showed their spankies, spelling out the word "VICTORY!" (Yeah, there was an exclamation point at the end of it.) Their punishment? Nothing! Probably because it was 1980, political correctness didn't exist yet, and people still had a sense of humor, and could take a joke. And the cheerleaders could wear their uniforms all day long on game days back then, even in class!
also they werent suspended for showing thier bloomers they were suspended cuz they mouthed off nd got bitchy with the principal after he said it was inappropriate NOT for just showing thier butts

They were told to leave the field or face detention. They decided to take the detention.
Then the principal went back on his decision to give them an ultimatum and make them leave anyway.
They should not have been suspended, because the principle should have been intelligent enough to only give an ultimatum if he meant it.
He is the wrong one here, because he gave them a choice.
