We sent them the structure check from Allstate a month ago, and they've been sitting on it this long. Everyone we talk to tells us it's coming, but never does. We're using credit cards til the first check arrives. It's a nightmare.
@cod5fan12 You are so kind. :) If Citimortgage would just send us our money, we'd be OK. But they've been dragging their feet so long, we've had to take out loans on our credit cards to pay our contractor.

Sorry to hear that Jason! Same thing happened to us a few years back. Had to live in a Holiday Inn with my parents and brother for a solid 2 months. And dealing with smoke damage is a b*tch! To this day I'll grab an old book and it will have black soot all over it leaving my finger black. Good luck with everything!

Oh dear Jason, I'm very sorry to hear that! At least if we look at the positive side, you have a chance to make everything all new and pretty inside. I'm very glad you and your wife are safe, and don't worry about video's until you have a home to live in again. We aren't going anywhere :D

Sorry to hear that Jason! Same thing happened to us a few years back. Had to live in a Holiday Inn with my parents and brother for a solid 2 months. And dealing with smoke damage is a b*tch! To this day I'll grab an old book and it will have black soot all over it leaving my finger black. Good luck with everything!
