  • @zack783 true true love these coupons "buy one get one free!" But BEWARE of the coupon trap, clip the ones for items you know you will use. check for stores if they do double coupons. and don't forget to try generic on certain items.

  • I go to the store only once a month. I grow my own lettuce, tomatos, peppers, carrots. I go 3 times a week to the store with only 5 dollars in hand to buy day old baked goods. I take only 10 dollars a week to the farmers market. this forces me to cut down on purchases. We reduced our monthly bill by 1000 dollars a month. we eat alot of rice and pastas and cut out meat except maybe once a week. we cut out cable completely and stilll get free channels

  • Bartering----yeah the men are bartering becasue they want to tap that!!!!!!!!

  • #1: big problem. biggest wealth building factor (money made beating inflation; which is pretty high believe it or not.) is leverage. you're losing your leverage by using ur time with your skills. the barter system is dead for a reason: it's inconsistent and inefficient. time = money so really if you turn the amount of money into hourly effort, you're hardly making anything. Any extra time you have is best spent with proper investment/researching; this does NOT require lots of money.

  • quit smoking and drinking ,you'll live longer and save more money =)

  • Ways I save money:

I buy pop by the seeds and pop it myself

Cut up rags to use for washing

Go to parent resource places for free clothes

    Eat my aunts lol

Go to groups for free free and entertainment

    Buy in bulk

Hardly eat any red blue and more vegan meals

I watch shows on the net and rent videos from the library

  • Always Intrigued.....Thank you from lilypadfreebies ~ No junk just Savings!

  • 6. Use reverse charge call services like 08000mumdad.

  • With this girl i go bankrupt....

  • Look up on youtube Get anything REALLY, REALLY CHEAP!

  • Buy deodorant soap only when it goes on sale. Unwrap the packages -that dries them out + they last longer. Allow the bars to dry between uses. Store the open bars in with your socks and stuff. Makes 'em smell good. When the soap is nearly worn out, save the slivers. They can be melted with a little water in the microwave, and poured into soap dishes or soap mold. Been doing this for years.

  • que bonita

  • wow!!!!!! hotness!!!!!

  • Dam what a stunner!!!!!!!!!!!

  • She's hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Shelley,

If I cancel my cable I can not watch you!

  • wow

  • Go to your local coin shop and buy a little silver on your payday, stash it for a rainy day!

  • Use baking soda for laundry, dishes and in the shower.

  • i have something other than the matrix on my mind when I look at this chick

  • Bartering removes the paper trail for income also. The govt shouldn't have any involvement with individuals trading services for each other. When money is used, they claim to deserve a share that they don't deserve. Barter makes it impossible for them to see transactions.

  • Spend less than you earn.

    wasn't that easy.

  • it cost about $50 per month per person for 1 long hot shower per day. the secret to being comfortable with cold water shower is being outdoors rather then a dark cold indoor bathroom.

  • I "pay myself" from each pay check - that is, I take a %age off the top and save! People that live pay check to paycheck are stupid morons that will get crushed as the economy stiffens and as they get older will die long and painful deaths for a lack of saving.

I've also cut back on them high price hookers too ;)

  • I've decided to cancell my Satalite TV Subscription

That is as long as I can continue to watch you r money saving tips on line ;)

  • run a secret extension cord from your neighbors house for your electrical needs. just don't get caught.

  • LOL!

  • I don't eat meat, I eat vegetables, thank you.

  • "I trade my technology services for everything from free drink at the pub..." lol at chick ever having to pay for a drink ever. ever.

    2. $3.99 for a BELL PEPPER!!?? Move to California. Everything else might be expensive, but this is where almost all the fruits and vegetables are grown, and they are CHEAP.

  • Yes, the store where I work sells tomatoes for 2.89/lb. I figure at that rate,if I get only 30 tomatoes from my 1800 sq. ft. garden this year, then it has paid for itself. (I have 48 5omqto3 plants)

  • Cancel your cable... AMEN!

  • smart and good points as allways good get em kido ;-)

  • hmm how about move the freak outta america while you can and stop putting ourselfs threw this hmmm yeah thats allways a good idea ahhhh france im so close to being there ;-)

  • Smart and sexy!! I would buy you a pint :)

  • Canceling the newspaper is a good way to save money. Why pay for day-old news and propaganda?

  • We used to buy a half a cow from the farmer down our street! Wonderful meat Shelley... from grass fed cow's... I love liver and cow's tongue...

  • Gross.

  • Very good advice for people growing their own food. In WWII a campaign was started called Victory Gardens. It is part of what kept them together in what was a pretty bad time.

    You're something else!

  • I helped a personal trainer with her advertising fliers in exchange for nutrition advice and helped with my lower back.

  • hot chick and she is right too ...

  • omg woman, you are beautiful.

  • You rock, Shel! I love that you made this video. =)

  • Shelly is very resourceful.....we are lucky to have you in our time....

  • Shelly is soooooooo Hot when she talks about bartering! (hehe) Seriously, I love to barter: I barter my home grown veggies for other food at the local Asian ethnic store!

  • cancel your cable for sure 95% of whats on is just mind numbing shit anyway

  • Comment removed

  • We could save on water if we took showers together. :)

  • I've stopped eating out, for the price of one meal eating out, I can often eat two meals at home. i've already cut cable. Instead of renting an apartment, I rent a room in someone's home. I don't have a lease, I pay about 20% less than an apartment and I help save someone from losing their home. Plus I get to walk around a house w/ a yard & a nice neighborhood instead of a cramped apt with noisy neighbors and a lousy neighborhood with no sidewalks to go outside for a walk if I want to.

  • Good tips.

  • Good tips shelly! Thanks!

  • You better be careful, the IRS considers bartering a taxable event and they go after people all the time for doing it.

  • I trade my services for sex.

    Oh wait?!

  • Well, if the IRS want a piece of that, you can tell them to suck your dick, ha ha ha ha

  • whoa really? Sounds like your left hand is undercutting the market ;P

  • It's not a dutch-rudder!

  • my garden is coming in nicely right now. free veggies all summer and fall. I love it.

  • I just cut 8 cucumbers today. Lots more on the way even thinking about trying to make pickles. YUMMMMMMM

  • I don't order out anymore..I buy my canned goods and cleaning supplies in large bulk..Sams Club.

  • Jct: Best of all, when local currencies are pegged to the Time Standard of Money (how many dollars/hour child labor) Hours earned locally can be intertraded with other timebanks globally!

In 1999, I paid for 39/40 nights in Europe with an IOU for a night back in Canada worth 5 Hours.

U.N. Millennium Declaration UNILETS Resolution C6 to governments is for a time-based currency to restructure the global financial architecture.

    See my kingofthepaupers youtube channel

  • My pay check is enormous ! I work for Goldman Sachs !

  • For those who needs medications, get generics where you can. I take multiple different eye drops for various eye conditions I'm plagued with but the costs of generic vs name brand is often at least half as much.

Also, at the gocery store, get the store brand instead of the name brand where possible. They're almost exactly the same if not very similar... usually. ;-)

  • health is your greatest wealth, don't short yourself when it comes to that if you don't have to, imagine trying to work when if you go blind

  • Ha! I was frugal before it was cool. Bought a nice 2bdrm condo rather than bankrupting myself on a house (payments are 680/mo, 24k left to pay), with dues I pay 925 to live here. No car or truck payments, 3,800 left on the master card (from buying my truck), and just a few small bills on top of that and I TAKE HOME 3,700/mo. I use the rest to buy survival stuff to get ready for the economic depression and use the rest to pay down debt. In 18 months I could be totally debt free. That's my goal.

  • 2. I just hope the economy holds together long enough for me to get there. Just imagine it! Imagine being absolutely and totally free of all debt, and a home owner too!!!

If the economy takes a nosedive (to the point where there's real hunger and violence) I'll move to one of my 2 bug out locations, barter my skills as a diesel mechanic & handyman to local farmers and use the skills I've been building to live comfortably even when things are bad. I've been preparing for this since 2006 or so.

  • Thanks for the advice, but I'm ok, i got me one of those printing presses :- D if it's good enough for these central bankers, it's good enough for me, one push of a button and let the good times roll ;- )

  • Shops rags for free at thrift store discards, No more cable TV for me, it's the same old, same old, best beaches in the world, blind man climbs Everest, sharks, survivor, daring animal handlers, you see them once you've seen them all. Movies? same old boom, bam pow, crash ans chase scenes stop wasting your valuable time go to Church and Worship God instead.

  • I applaud you, things are not that extreme yet, but they will be. Argentinains used barter coupon also, check out the Ithaca dollar system.

  • i had to chuckle at one the your ads in your site though... :)

Get 10 cm taller. without anyone noticing the secret.

  • These are some good tips!

  • Shelly what arms to you suggest people buy for defense? Thanks.

  • money savings tip no.6

put an ad in your youtube video and on the webpage you leave in the description.

nothing like cashing in on the recession...

  • Oh - great point, rageunderground!

How dare I try to cover some of my costs/time in a way that harms no one ;)

  • lol i was being sarcastic.

cant you see the grin on my face

oh forgot to add this smilie :)

with a tongue poking out :P

  • Ha - oh, ok then.

  • If you barter, you have to declare the value of your service as income . . . . and I'm sure lots of people are faithful in supporting our government by practicing this. :0

  • I dunno. If I canceled my sat TV and started watching shows at the bar I would end up blowing all my savings on beer.

I suppose then #6 could be, brew your own beer. lol.

  • Try it. Brewing your own beer at home usually tastes better anyway.

  • Thanks Shelly, great ideas.

  • Heres a money saving tip; don't date an American woman that looks like her or she'll bankrupt you!

  • So jerk, how are you certain of this?

  • you date any woman for her looks alone and your bankrupt already, morally!

  • Jasman2444

LOL. I wasn't going to say it since it could be considered rude but since you did, LOL!

    (-:

  • whose down to split a cow with me?

  • Drive the speed limit. It'll save tickets, accidents will be less severe and you'll get the optimal fuel efficiency of your vehicle.

Electricity- Unplug or kill the breaker on big things like electric ovens/stoves, AC units, electric washing machines, etc. It costs a lot of money to keep the capacitors in those things charged while they're plugged in unused. You should do that for everything, but the big items will save you the most.

  • Great info. This is the stuff people need to know.

See you at the pub later? Not really, I live in Florida...

    Keep 'em comin!

  • Man, I can't wait till Bush is out of office and we have a Democrat in the white house

  • more common sense

  • I love you Shelly!

  • Excellent suggestions girl =)

    Great advice!

  • down with TV!

  • Bakery outlet stores are really great. Nice tip.

Butchering a whole pig/cow and splitting it up among a few neighbors with chest freezers will definitely save you a heap of money.

Backyard gardening: Try growing yellow and green beans. They provide a ton of food in very little space.

  • Gorgeous!
