  • gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • great editing

  • What kind of bow is that

  • Hey man, I'm fairly new to the trad archery game. Only been shooting about a year. I took my first rabbit last weekend and this video really helped, so thankyou and please keep posting. I hope you should bring out a dvd some day soon. And too right, rabbits on the run are impossible, they're hard enough stalking while stationary. keep up the posts man.

  • Pretty cool. What county? I'm from Western MD.

  • @shanejwolfe this one was shot in Washington county . . . alot of my other videos are shot in Garrett county.

  • Very good shooting. A lot easier with an air rifle though haha

  • hell yeah guitar archer, keep it up man. ive been watchin some of ur vids these past few years and its been a big boost to get into trad archery and ive made alotta selfbows, starting to get into laminates- you shuold really look into it, i think it really makes you enjoy the sport even more. keep it up brother -jimmy

  • Dude, ur a faggot!!!!

  • @pumphouse00 your still a dushbag . . .

  • @pumphouse00 if you dont like the video then dont wach it

  • @pumphouse00 I wanna see you go out in the woods with him and try this...oh and while your at it call him a fagot. I would be willing to bet you might not come back lol....lots of places to hide bodies out there man.

  • @extremeaudioPRO ha you would have to be mentally retarted to be afraid of this douchepatty. i would snap his fucking spine..

  • song at 0:25?

  • great vid. Fast little buggers...u must feel like a cat chasing a laser pointer dot.

    ZOOM!

  • lol at gearing up beginning... reminds me of Rambo 2 I think where he puts that bandanna on his head and gets all his gear.

    :b

  • I know a guy that outshot his friend when they went rabbit hunting. He brought his recurve and his friend brought his shotgun. There both great shots too.

  • Your editing skills are real good! Better put together video than a lot of the professional archery videos that I have seen on youtube,

  • Good vid Dude, keep em coming!

  • good

  • good

  • Great vid, thanks for taking the time bro, fantastic shooting ; )

    -Mitch

  • best rabbit hunting video on youtube ive ever seen. great job! im 14 shootin a longbow at wabbits in ohio. tons of fun

  • great job kid for the shooting and the video!!! keep it up!

  • ha good vid.... wouldnt call it an adventure of a lifetime though haha whats the song called at the end?

  • All the best for future hunting!! good luck friend!!

  • practice makes better . keep trying!!!

  • Nice video! I love hunting for cottontails, though usually I hunt cottontails with a homemade slingshot and stones for ammo. But never seen a recurve bow in action against cottontails. They are a fun and tasty and sometimes challenging quarry.

  • nice try, they are pretty fast

  • Gr8 stuff dude. I used to go when I was younger . I used to never get skunked At least one and sometimes six rabbits with a small recurve. Try a lighter pound bow you will be amazed how much quicker you will get on the bunnies.

  • I just found your channel and very much liked this video! Peace, Jim

  • Nice vid ...What kind of arrows where ya using

  • Congratulations comrade!

    *5 from Italy

  • Do you want to know why you can't seem to get those pesky critturs on the run?

Because your stomach doesn't depend on your skill with a bow. The mind has to be convinced that you NEED to make a kill to survive. Everything else is just half-hearted practice.

Go out before you've had anything to eat. Tell yourself, remind yourself, that you HAVE to shoot a rabbit, or you'll die of starvation. DO NOT GIVE UP. Use your peripheral vision.

As Master Yoda says, "Do or do not, there is no try!"

  • Nice video What osng is at the very end?

  • @2066241

wawo so nice saying love it true

  • what kind of bow do you have

  • @boybot252 55# Greatree deer master take down

  • Good vid man keep up the good work

  • great video! thanks for the post

  • Great video, hey why don't you try rolling the disk thing and then try to hit it cause I notice the speed when u just toss it kinda slow down , while the real rabbit keeps running, so a fast rolling disk should be like a running rabbit.

Just a thought, I'm not that good yet myself to try moving targets , so great job.

  • awesome vid! ur a great american!

  • thank you so much this is such a cool vid

  • @sharks123456790 anytime:) and thanks!

  • @Guitararcher what kind of recuve bow do you shoot

  • hey if i have a 20 pound recurve bow and i shoot rabbit will it fall down dead of will it run away for a tracking game???

  • @sharks123456790 I would say that if you keep the shots under 15 yards, and use a broadhead you will not have to track them!

  • @Guitararcher broadhead for a fucking rabbit? are you kidding me? use a 30 lb bow and a fieldpoint and you'll be fine at pretty much any range

  • @uptownboyz100 okay first off using a field point for live game is extremely unethical, their is not shock, or any cut. So disregarding that your only option is a blunt or a broadhead, and a blunt with a 30 pound bow would not be effective!

  • @Guitararcher it works fine for me

  • DANNG!! good shooting and video footage!! very nice

  • Haha right on, but sadly, I don't think these rabbits would be too fond of me goin' after them, I have a 63# and them little buggers would get down FAST haha!

  • @Peter01Fett either way they are gonna die, this year my 60# longbow and 70# recurve want some game, so I will let them have some fun!!! Go for it, I know some guys that hunt them with 80+, it still kills them, the only difference is penetration, it doesn't really damage any more or less meat!

  • liked the video especially the song in the beginning by led zeppelin

  • this is canada is not it?

  • @donzaliko Maryland!

  • hey man whenever you at to take your tv show o the road and you want to come to california our rabbit season starts in july and runs through january 31st. if you come out here ill show you my spots where i get limits whenever i want to. pellet guns are too easy and a recurve bow sounds like a nice challenge.

  • what kind of bow u use ?

  • Hunt rabits with Bowl and arrows? Like in Midle Age? Haven`t you a shotgun ?

in my country in Europe we hunt rabits with firearms.

  • @348Silva yup have a shotgun, shoot it well, this is WAY more fun!

  • Hey bud, I am an old man and want to give you a tiny bit of advice. When you get too old to shoot a "man's" bow and you find yourself picking up that sweet shooting 40# bow that you built fifteen years ago but didn't really want because it was so light you will realize that you should have been using it all along for rabbits and such.

  • @micers hey man nothin wrong with a 40# bow, I got my first traditional harvest with my 40# bow, and that was a whitetail buck quartering away at 23 yards:). I still hunt rabbits with my 45# shakespeare, but for the most part these particular rabbits are too adjusted to me, so they are pretty quick, and I find that tiny extra bit of speed helps;)

  • @Guitararcher i have to be content with 30lb's for now, i simply cant handle 35 atm for aany length of time. maybe in a year as my strength improves and i can get a better bow

  • @elgostine 30lbs would be plenty for rabbits, if ya can get them to stay still long enough. But as far as enough power that is plenty. Elgostine you will grow into a bigger bow before ya know it.

  • Really nice video. If I watch more of these, I might buy a bow :)

  • wtf is wrong with you.

  • you seriously bow hunt for rabbits that is insane your skill set must be massive everyone i see rabbit hunt uses shotguns and dogs.

  • hey im getting a bow for my 16th and i was just wondering what (lbs) is good for hunting rabbits ,i was looking at 50lbs do you think that 50 lbs would be to hard for me ,im getting a 50lbs because i want something trhat im not gonna get bored with ,like i would adapt to it over time iim guessing. if i get like a 40 then say 2months later i might want something better .

  • @bulionz 55 pounds is what I am using, so basically 50-55 is about perfect. Good luck

  • @Guitararcher

thanks mate and thanks for the really fast reply ,so is 50 easy do you think

  • @bulionz yea no problem, it is really a matter of personal opinion, 50lbs is a bit light for me, I am perfect around 60lbs. But 50 is a fantastic weight, good for everything up to elk size

  • @Guitararcher hey man did you do a turkey hunting one for this past season

  • Nice video! These rabbits are kicking my butt" xD

  • good vid, except i didnt realize i was on an elevator with the music. lol great vid though.

  • whats the name of the bow your using?

  • They need to wear some blaze orange..

  • @6ShooterSaint the bunny's???

  • @Guitararcher Yea, dude. I was talking about the bunnies.

  • how do you get so good, ive tried forever and still am only lucky to hit a 5 inch bullseye at ten or so yards

  • Nah..I aint a Peta... fool. Next.

  • @maxinpains you fooled me . . .

  • What is that thing you were using to practice shooting on the run? Where can I find one and what is it called?

  • @ryguy1210 it is just a foam disk, you can pick one up at 3 rivers archery!:)

  • @Guitararcher Thanks a ton, good shooting :)

  • Well, "Guitararcher" says ...He loves to do animal cruelty without any special reasons behind ... i guess he is just a silly wanka with a loose caboose for too many guys!! LMAO!!

  • @maxinpains Maxipad hunters have done more for animals and thier wellbeing than any PETA freak such as yourself. Cruelty to animals is letting thier numbers get so high from lack of hunting till they starve to death. Get a life and live some. Great video!

  • @cahabarivr limit is 1 buck for gun 2 for bow i get my 1st tags free bc dad owns land. u get i think 2 or 3 does per weapon and after that its unlimited except the tags are 7$ after the first 3 or 2 or w.e

  • Dude...still love this video!!! Awesome!!!

  • My compliments on producing a great video!! You are both an artist and an excellent hunter. Rabbit hunting is what I call "A simple pleasure" because it's not a big production like an elk hunting trip. I often head out after work to get some peace and quite. I've hunted 'em with a bow and it is quite rewarding to take one with a bow. Thank you - this video made me smile!

  • man living like a cave man in year 2010...killing animals...

  • @maxinpains well theyre gonna die somehow. get over it

  • @74bowhunter that's what one Jewish child molester / rapist said that infront of a Judge... Quote- "She 's gonna die soon or lator so I killed her...." pathetic.

  • welp when the world collapses, and your sorry ass doesnt know how to provide for yourself maybe you will think differently?!

  • @Guitararcher

U STF...lol The world isn't collaped yet ... look around you that's only you !! lol first, if you want to get rabbits you won't shoot with a bows...did it look very successfull? why would you want to make it more difficult? That's called " You think know But you really don't know at all " Good luck tripping with yourself ,Fo0L.

  • WTF, wow . . . that was a hell of a confusing piece because of all the typos, lol. Dude when this Rome starts burning am I going to be able to go to wal mart and buy some shells? I can get everything I need from my house. I really don't do all this because I think it will help if the world ends, one day I will live entirely off wild game, so . . . O and BTW I shot 7 rabbits, the legal limit is 8 . . . that is successful enough for me!

  • @Guitararcher Shooting running rabbits with a bow is just dumb, its really hard to hit em and most of the time when u do hit it does not kill and then u end up with an wounded animal that u MUST track untill u find it and usually a small animal like that is a pain to find !!! Uknow thers a word 4 action like that:AnimalAbuse! When hunting u should only shoot when u know the first shot will kill your pray!

  • @Multimentalisti Apparently you have never shot one on the run then, out of all the ones I have shot on the run, 1 ran off a bit, but it was not hard to find at all. When you hit them with something devastating they don't go far. It is either hit or miss. Maybe you should up the poundage on your bow a little bit or something, I have never lost a animal!

  • @Guitararcher U r Still tripping. lol U don't need to keep killing them once U know How. Next, you forgot to mentioned that there are things called "rabbit starvation"-- LOOK IT UP! . if you want to help people before the crisis you should have mentioned that al'ready. otherwise you are ending up killing people slowly after the disaster & shocks.

  • @maxinpains I know all about rabbit starvation, look at my channel, I dont only hunt rabbits. I didnt say anything about helping people??? What are you talking about . . . I said I will live on a wild game diet later in life? How does that turn into helping people??? U are wack!

  • @Guitararcher U r still tripping. it seems like it might be caused by some parasite, heavy metal contaminations or sadly since you were born... Again, Think before you open your mouth to someone can't even play Guitar & not a good archer ...LOL

  • @maxinpains If you're talking about people hunting rabbits to eat let them do that, he's just enjoying it for fun, and if you don't like hunting, well, you can just go screw yourself.

  • @idontthinkitsfunny Look, Any life shouldn't be playing. It aint a computer games.

It actually taking live of livings. you got that kid? up ya arse. u love it.

  • @maxinpains dude what is your story . . . your grammar is terrible, and I seriously cant take anything you say seriously when everything is spelled so terribly. We realize we are taking the lives of living things, dude get over it, don't you eat meat? What you think that meat just magically appears out of thin air? You need to get a grip!

  • @Guitararcher I'm a hunter since i was born & you don't need to be one. Do you wan to be like me, son? LMAO! Get a fat grip of mine down there , boy....LOL! U R Fluffer.

  • in australia we can hunt rabbits all year

  • can some one help i dont know what bow i should get for hunting rabbits and squirrels can someone recomed me a bow (i dont need a bow that can hell a dear i just want one the kill a rabbit from about 20 yards)

  • @cheeselyman try the bear cheroke recurve bow its around $100 you can hit a target from 40 yards so u could kill a small game easy around 20 yards

  • damn. those rabbits are fast bastards. the desert cottontails in socal are way slower.

  • I just came here to see rabits and wow ther ther are...I have not seen a rabin in N.W. Montana in 2 years..

    super Video....Thanks

  • Great video! I have enjoyed all your videos and subscribed. Your film editing makes them a real pleasure to watch. Spring gobbler is just around the corner! Good luck! VA hunter here.

  • bud i wish ya lived closer to me- i am a guitarist and dad and i are huge bowhunters, i mad e a few longbows i prominently use the bear montana longbow i got. i dont have much footage, its great to see more traditionalists out there haha. too bad seasons over, but looking foward to some more vids haha.

  • hell yeah!!

  • very honest, thanks

  • Very well done video that was fun to watch...

I've shot dozens of rabbits and grouse with a 80# compound bow over the years but never attempted a shot at a running rabbit...

Keep it up you'll get your chance just hope you get it on video... :)

  • I love it! Great footage! My hat goes off to a man who can shoot a fast movin' critter like a Rabbit while it's on the run! 5 stars from one avid hunter to another! Missouri's season closes today & my 13 year old son & I are about to head out one last time. Wish us luck.

  • Good job!

  • yea a gun is easier to hunt with

  • nice :D

do u/anyone know the name of the song at the end if u do plz tell me.!

    thnks.

  • Backwoods boy-Josh Turner

  • Cool video. Anything taken with trad equipment is a trophy, whether it be a rabbit , deer or whatever. I only shoot recurves and longbows and absolutely love it. What brand of bow are you using in the video?

  • It is a Greatree, which is a part of Samick, they make some great bows, my specific model is the Deer master, 55# @28 inches, great bow! And you hit the nail right on the head, that is why you see the pelts on the wall behind me while I am talking, because they are definatly trophies!

  • what draw weight is you bow?

  • 55#@28" :)

  • rabbit hunting with a gun is easier, but I suppose you cant hunt them with a bow, so you will never really know?!

  • bullshit you didnt get any you suck balls hill billy inbred mother fucker

  • who the hell are you?

  • I don't live in a heavy populated land I just know what the deer are doing and I get alot of time bit I most certainly don't cut people down for no reason

  • hey man nice try on some of those shots. keep practicing and u will get there. and hey, just one thought, When ur walking up on a spot u think a rabbit will be and u think u will spook one, Have ur bow Drawn back and ready to shoot. Cuz if the rabbit is 10yards from u by the time ur pulling back the rabbit it 20 yards. so have ur bow ready and u might wack em and stack em a little bit more. Nice try tho

  • do you understand how a recurve bow works? Because when you draw back a compound, and you get to full draw and the bow "breaks back" if you have a bow with 80% let off, and you are shooting a 100lb bow the let off makes it to where you are holding 20lbs. With a 100lb recurve when you get to full draw, you are holding 100 pounds. So drawing the bow back before you get to the pile is not a good idea

  • how long have you beenshooting for? can you make a video on stance ireally need some help

  • you have good camera skills, and some of those shots i couldnt do wit a traditional, its been so long since ive shot one. Lol nice shootin

  • Thank you, just videos aren't very much fun lol

  • why can't you guys just watch the video and enjoy it instead of getting into a pissing match.

  • Aren't ****

  • So you have shot 9 deer with you bow? I'm pretty sure I'm like 4 up on you am I'm sixteen ALL WITH MY RECURVE ALL UNDER 20 YARDS not to mention the 2 I shot with my compound at 50 and 67 yards if that's all you have shot sorry to break it to you but you probably are by a very good hunter

  • @burkerock03 Well, 13 deer huh, plus 2 and lets c, how many years was that. Now i would probaly have to have a video to prove it but i cant, but, last year, i shot 22 deer total. 15 with a gun. 7 with a compound but they were under 15 to 20 yards so a traditional bow would have dun the same. Now, my uncle who on the other hand is a much better hunter than me, got 5 deer, y? Because we simply live in the most populated area with whitetails. Right here in NE missouir, so he prob doin pretty good

  • there is more than that when calculating success rate. You need to think about weather you used bait and your uncle didnt, or if he was hunting public land and you were hunting private, if you are in a tree and he is on the ground, I definatly dont disagree with you saying that whitetail population has something do to with success, there could just be alot of other stuff involved!

  • nah, baiting illegal here. We were both hunting on private but we own 2000 acres and he owns 80acres. we both hunt tree and ground depending on the area, ive killed several from ground even when im just squirrel hunting. And for some reason, this year has been bad for deer. Mayb the rut came and it wasnt cold enough so they moved or went away or something. I only got 7 and my gun receiver cracked so i was all bow for the season

  • wow, 7, what state are you in, here in the western part of maryland, people would be lucky to kill one with there bow. But I mainly hunt public so that is probably why. One of my buddies killed 3 with his bow, but he was hunting private. It is really easy to run the deer off here, there seems to be a healthy mixture of folks that allow hunting and ones that dont, so there is sanctuaries everywhere. I havent even killed one this year, but I am hunting for "the one", lol.

  • @GR4V31Y What is the limit on deer in Missouri? Do you adhere to limits?

  • @cahabarivr here in MD we can kill at total of 32 deer!!!! I imagine Missouri is worse, lol. I don't know . . . we will see when Gr4V31Y awnsers you. But my guess is that he is indeed legal!

  • А этим парням не жалко животных?

  • Я на самом деле, то их убийство является моей любимой частью мере, я делаю это потому, что это единственный способ получить мяса диких животных, которая чище и здоровее, чтобы съесть!

  • Rabbits are the fastest and smallest game to hit even for me with a 12 gauge, and I shoot professional trap and skeet. Your a beast with that bow, keep on practicing.

  • id rather wound 1 or 2 than not have anything exciting to talk about like you braggin about your 30 yder im already 7 kills up on you over 50 yds with no wounding I have had 2 deer jump the string inside of 20 yds though so now how fucked up is that hhhhmmmm i think your just the kid who cant hold still enough to shoot that far

  • I hate to break it too you but in everyones eyes one of my deer done the hard way equals 20 of your unethical deer! I dont care how good you think you are, a whitetail is way better. So if you keep going on shooting at those distances you WILL wound a deer, that is for sure, that is certain. Just because you have gottenn lucky so far doesnt mean a damn thing!

  • As far as me being a kid that just cant hold still and shoot that far??? I can push the limits on my weapons . . . mabye you have not seen my latest video, but I am able to acurately shoot my 22lr at more than 300 yards. I have killed two groundhogs at 280+ yards. But that is different from what you are talking about, I am shooting from a solid rest and I know my firearm. I have studied the ballistics charts, and I am shooting at a pest. You still havent awnsered us, what is your set up!?

  • bunch of freakin winers its a effing rabbit fer shoot sakes good job mr shoot when ya get a chance dont listen to these tree humpers lol.............

  • AWESOME VID...you may hove a future in out doors t.v....vary entertaining vid...i enjoy useing a slingshot for rabbits..great sport, and good eating if youget lucky ;-)

  • I have been there when compounds have horton shot at 70 plus even when the deer is not looking at you and doesn't have a care in the world the sound of the bow is enough for a deer to get out of there the o Lu deer I have seen shot over 80 was when my buddy shot a small buck that got his leg broke in a fight And at 98 yards he looked but didn't move s healthy deer would jump the string at 50 let alone 80

  • I don't agree with how far you are shooting and that you have no ethics but what does this have to do with these convos lol are you shooting a compound or traditional?

  • its not what you get with the bow its what you try for i shoot does at long distances like 80 yds .. ive never wounded a deer from that far but i have missed 2 times .. that said no one in nj can take away my best bow kills from 45 48 52 58 63 67 74 and 81 yds out.. lets forget about ethics of not taking long shots because i have no guilt or shame.... the 2 misses i had at long distances, guys have at 15 yds in there lifetime so with a 80% kill ratio outside of 40 yds and none wounded ...WHAT

  • o he is most definatly one of those compound guys that think they can shoot at 80 yards because they have a 80 yards pin and a range finder??? He is probably young too. But I can assure you that if he keeps shooting at 80 yards he will wound a animal, it is inevitable!

  • the reaction time of a whitetail is crazy, at 80 yards! Even if you are shooting the fastest bow on the market say 360 fps, that arrow will still have a 2 second delay to impact. That whitetail can move from dead on to gut very easily!

  • I think that guy jmw or something Is a huge douche bag. Who cares if you kill something if Its not going to waste . If jmw eats meat he has no right talking he is just a guy who goes and buys meat while hunters go and get it.

  • Yeah it's pretty sweet there are some big deer here but it's way to cold to go out and shoot hunting season is over and normally I would be out every week end going for yotes but it's suppose to be minus 40 or something I don't know if that's gunna happen lol. Did you get anything this season ?

  • i live in alberta . in a town right by edmonton , what about you

  • Maryland, which is down by DC in the states. My dads side is from canada, my grandma was one of 6 that were born up there. She was the only one to move down here, married a good ole boy from tennesse and here I am. But my great uncles were spread throught canada. One ran a trap line in the Yukon and the other lives in Saskatewan, St walburg, inbetween lloydminister and saskatoon. My grandmas cousin lives in Edmonton! Only been up there twice, and I loved it!

  • I live in the states why do you ask?
