Thanks for putting this up- now I know what I've been doing wrong during the ethanol step- I either used too much and let it sit too long, or not enough so my E. coli would be unaffected by the counterstain or have no outer membrane- now I know how to do the decolorizing step PROPERLY. :)
Cool video! was really helpful in my report writing. BTW, we didn't go through the last step in the lab.. we just used a towel paper! is it okay to do so??
