Really nice job knocking the fire down but it looks like a balloon frame house and that means the truck has got to open up. The RIT crew should not have to ladder the whole building....again nice job there.
I am posting this as some helpful observations and am not trying to slam anyone. Really did a good job on a basement fire but the follow through with the truck works makes the difference
@irons22man that's the way we are set up as well. But in the mix up we have 2 orange lids and the are safety officers. and non firefighter rock the yellow lids
hey irons22man great video great truck your videos are the reason i started station 16 films keep up the great work a maybe one day we will be fiming up with FFD this year
Great to see someone throwing ladders! I'm surprised how many hose lines were pulled off yet the lack of ladders thrown. People get so focused on the fire they forget that if shit hits the fan they're gonna need a way out! Keep up the great work and stay safe...AWESOME VIDEOS!
Yeah, throwing ladders has sometimes been forgotten around here. We are trying to remind other companies, that it needs to be done just like everything else on the fireground.
No. There was a mistake on the box assignment. Dispatch received the wrong info by some of the callers about the location. So the wrong assignment was dispatched. No truck was on this box. But the truck work also did not get done by one of the crews. This was a fire that really needed some good truck work.
22 was RIT.They got 3 ladders tossed quickly (or more) and it looks like 2 others were already in place. You had two lines (attack and/or supply) burst and we all know had bad things can get quickly.Nice job by this company(and to get crews out when the lines burst). How many RIT teams get ladders tossed, do a size up/walk around?Last 5 fires I had, 1 ladder was tossed by the RIT Team. Not good feeling to know when you exit the building or get off of the roof & only see 1 ladder, maybe 2.Nice job!
Our crew actually threw (6) ladders on the building. Co 18 threw one on the "B" side for roof ventilation. Well, I know that is what I would want when I am the one on the inside. Other means of egress.
A Buff is someone who goes to fires and films and take picures. the reason i ask is because you had on side film from the road. i was wandering how you did that.
I have other people that video tape for me and give me the footage to use. I am the only one that puts the videos together for our station but there are several people that video tape in the company.
Good vid, but I would edit out the parts where FF's are in the back with no seatbelts. That could come back to bite you.

@travissgreen01 Not really sure what happened with that. Command might not have said anything to the Dispatch Center to do that or what!
