Not heard the original start to end. Its so much of a contrast though. Heard the original for about a minute and it was hard to believe this was a cover of it. I do like it though, just got their signature twist to it :)

I understand that bands can try to do covers of songs in their own style, and sometimes it does work (Metallica-breadfan, killswitch engage-holy diver) but i just cant like this, it makes me cringe when i listen to it, its like the vocalist must know he cant match bruces vocals whch is why he doesnt even bother, and the guitarists must be subpar at best if they dont even try to do the solos, its got none of the energy or...

Wheres the beautiful guitar melodies that wind flawlessly around steve harris galloping bass? The vocals just FAIL, when i forst heard the original, it completely blew me away and cemented iron maiden as my favourite band, but this is an absolute travesty, madina lake's style does NOT suit maidens music.

the original is fucking epic. this version is even more so and I say good fucking effort. it's great to cover a song as is but where's the fun in that? they made it their own and it sounds perfect as if they wrote it, which just demonstrates how diverse Iron maidens influence is. if you don't like it, go comment somewhere else.

@10078g I love maiden with a passion, but this cover is still great, I think its fantastic when a band puts their swing on a song. I think that takes more skill than just a flat out copy (I mean, I can play the original of this and learnt it relatively quickly, but it would have taken MUCH longer to rewrite it in my own style)

Now, this may not be as good as the original, but it's still good none the less. at least IMO

Wow, easily the worst so called "cover" of the song I've heard. I say this not only because, the masterful instrumental section has been reduced to dropped tune pile of nonsense, it also seems that the powerful/epic chorus has been rendered into a pathetic joke. i actually like this song, and i love the original as well, but the difference between cover songs and original songs is that cover songs is how THEY play it and there (madina lake) style which is NOWHERE LIKE THIS to actually perform a song that is a complete different genre is actually a good shot! and it's a good catchy song they way they made it as well. but the original is always good, but this is great as well :) IMO LOL

Can't say that I like this version. Caught Somewhere in Time is one of my favorite Maiden songs and personally, I think they butchered this one. But that's my opinion.

Thanks for uploading. This is one of the best covers on the album, not a fan of Madina Lake but they made it their own and it sounds decent. The 'time is always on my side' section sounds awesome.
