  • Anybody know what type of horns are on 1940 & 1941?

  • Kirby, these must be the units that were hauling specials during the 1980s in the green-white Southern scheme. Though the RJ Corman paint scheme is attractive, it would have been "historically cool" if the units could have remained in Southern colors. I also noticed the blunt-end observation car behind the locomotives. That definetly looks like one of the "250 series" cars used on the Atlantic Coast Line's hotshot, "The Champion" from back in the day. Cool, rich rolling pieces of history.

  • Is this train still in operation? Which city and state?

  • It is still in operation,in Bardstown,KY. You can find more info on R.J. Corman's website.

  • Great video!

  • They're expensive as fuck. My brother used to work on the Dinner Train and it was 60 bucks a ticket WITH DISCOUNT.

  • It my be expensive, but you got alot of stuff. I thought it was a interesting trip! I would love to go again, but it will be awhile since it's kinda far for us.

  • Very classy! That well tuned K5LA horn is very melodic. Which railroad did the FP7 come from?

  • 1940 and 1941 were originally southern railway 6141 and 6138.

  • Them some beutiful FP7's
