let me straighten this out. i worked for mazda service and i own chevys... the 13b rotary motor Is far mor dependable than 90% of piston engines. the only 2 places where the rotary falls short are 1 they are very temp sensitive and 2 by design they naturally flood themselves (injection and carb). on top of high dependability they also react better to minor performance mods. so Mr. "rotaryisgarbage" you sir are WRONG!!! take it from the pro and go bitch on your own time. k thanks bye

@Tj1056 Fair enough lol, that motor is a monster, and those 787Bs were monsters, winning LeMans and all, but the R26B was strictly a racing motor, so its not 100% a fair comparison, and RB26s can easily reach more than 700hp with no displacement increase. But definately to each his own, and for me almost nothing beats the feeling of fully spooled turbos ahhh :D

@Tj1056 i'm just saying that if you look at horsepower made versus fuel consumed, the rotary isn't any better, and in many cases, uses more fuel for the same amount of given horsepower. so, what i have is irrelavent to the conversation, yes. but my point still stands. Hp per liter is irrelavant except for the sole bragging rights of hp per liter. if you have a one liter engine that makes 300 hp, but only gets 7 mpg... who cares?

putting in a V8 just completely unbalances them towards the front, and makes them way a FUCKTON more overall, giving worse handling and less power per tonne. (1.3t and 205kw from an FD is bad?)
