  • Why am I watching this?

  • Anyone have questions or need help with the raw diet? Call me 24 hours a day! 865-724-3843

  • @joclovesprince92 It's quite easy to do it yourself, just go to the butchers but if you are on the squeemish side like me there are a number of websites you will make it up for you and deliver it to the door. Just for info my pup is 16lbs and costs £1.05 a day to feed raw - works out much cheaper than buying wet food and kibble.

  • @JustinFromSydney - well said. The amount of people freaking out over dogs choking or getting food poisoning is ridiculous! my pup has been chowing down on raw meat and bones since his mother weaned him! big, strong healthy lad that he has become :) dogs don't go to the shops and buy canned food or have a stove to cook on. Dogs are not fussy they will eat anything rotten meat, feathers, fur, bones, organs you name it.

  • Where can i buy raw meat for my dog?

  • @joclovesprince92 You can buy raw meat from your local butcher for about $1.50 a pound. I suggest getting your dog or dogs raw turkey necks because the bones will help clean their teeth :)

  • raw chicken is not good, rather than cooked out of the small bones that can lead to a situation or shredding apart the entrails.

  • @Binnimanninn RAW BONES ARE THE SAFEST. Cooked bones can become sharp and puncture the intestines.

  • @sanfranciscobay

    i agree with you sir

its better if its raw better than cocked

  • crunch crunch crunch :)

  • @masrawy12311 Raw bones are like a dogs version of humans eating celery, carrots, potato chips...

  • Is That A German Cherperd?

  • @MinecraftZombie17 Yes a quite old 1 though :)

  • in relation to people saying that dogs can choke on chicken bones:

WHAT do you think they eat in the wild? Do you think mother nature sticks her hand down from a cloud and opens a can of dog food? THEY EAT small animals like rabbits & chickens.

  • this dog is wearing a mink coat lol

  • @mroboiz His hair is a mix of long guard hairs (which shed the rain) and the softer down type hair underneath (which provides the insulation) The area on the sides of his torso, rear of his rib cage and forward of his rear legs, is so soft. Since Spring is warming up the weather, he's shedding his insulating and soft down type fur. Thankful I'm not allergic to dog hair because he has a lot of it when he's shedding.

  • Hi, I just wanted to let you know how great I think your dog Tyson is. He has provided many hours of pleasure to me watching and listening to him eat his food. I find him extremely relaxing and have almost fallen asleep on a few occassions while watching him. Thank you so much for the upload. I shall keep my eyes open for more videos like this one. Thanks again.

  • @Nubulara07 Thanks for the kind words. I've just uploaded another video of Tyson eating a warm dish of cooked rice with some soy sauce and raw pork.

  • @Nubulara07 There is another video that is quite funny that I've uploaded. It's of Tyson finding a truck load of meat in Chinatown. Here is the title to it: DOG EATING RAW MEAT FINDS TRUCK LOAD OF MEAT GERMAN SHEPHERD

  • This dog seems content :) Just watch ou for those chicken bones tough, They wil splinter and can peforate his stomach and or intestinal track. Peace

  • @Givarius Raw bones are OK for a dog to eat. It's cooked bones that are more dangerous and can splinter and puncture the intestinal tract of a dog, which could be fatal.

  • Can you post a video of your Mastiff eating & link it here? I had a large Bull Mastiff Male Brindled for a few years 30 years ago. He was so much fun. The expressions on his face were something else.

Tysons right knee has a 3rd degree tear of his Cranial Cruciate Ligament. I think his left knee is injured also. He's medically retired from play. He crab walks, sort of forward with a sideways action. His rear legs/hips are kind of messed up. I have some videos posted here of his injured knee/leg

  • Perfect diet for a perfect dog, i also feed raw, along with alot of people i kno, my mastiff is also raw fed, althought he does eat a little quicker than this, leg of lamb is gone in seconds.

so nice to see other people feeding the correct diet for a carnivor.

Beautiful Gsd you have, lost ours 5 months ago, he lives to 14, he was a very heavy set male, so 14 was a great age, has tyson had any problem with his back legs yet? wish you all the best mate

  • wonder what it tastes like.... o.o

  • Someone's gonna have diarrhea.

  • @xRadicalAurax When my dog poops, if he's been eating raw meat and bones, it comes out somewhat like compressed sand. You can step on it and it crushes like sand. It's the processed food that comes out like clay.

When switching your dog from processed food to a raw food diet, it should be done gradually over a 2 week period. They adapt very easy and raw meat and bones is much better for them.

  • This makes me hungry

  • Holy shit he looks intimidating o______O!!!

  • @AcidSnake87 He is an intimidating dog when you see him. People cross the street to get away from him when I walk on the sidewalk. Like a baby, he's very sweet and gentle with me.

Occasionally, I take him into Chinatown in Oakland where it's very crowded with small stores that have their vegetables on the sidewalk. Some of the Chinese people are terrified of larger dogs. It's kind of fun to watch their expressions of fear and terror. They try to flee and run, but the sidewalk is too crowded.

  • Nowwe all know who would win in a fight against a pitbull cant you see he ate him?!?!?

  • @Itstomflores Pit Bulls are tough dogs, bred to be fighters with huge powerful jaws. As a general rule, I keep Tyson away from other large dogs. I do not want to try separating two large dogs that are fighting. Good way to get bit or hurt.

If he was to eat a Chihuahua dog, I guess this is what it would look like.

  • he eating it just like a popcorn lol

  • @M9BNCHEE Well, now that you mentioned it, I guess it is like eating popcorn. All he needs is a lazyboy recliner chair, a big screen TV, a remote, a woman to fetch him his dinner and he's good to go.

  • Beautiful dog. Quite the cynic, aren't you?

  • @animezirow I've learned it all from my dogs. They've taught me everything I need to know about truth, honor, fairness, integrity etc. I prefer the companionship of my dog over people many times.

  • That's the way dogs eat. Many just scarf it down as fast as possible, chewing just enough to prevent themselves from choking to death. Why waste the time and energy chewing when you can just scarf it down in big pieces? This method allows a dog to eat as much as possible in the shortest period of time allowing them to consume as much food as possible. That's the eating habits of many dogs.

Yes, dogs can eat fish, chicken, beef, lamb, pork... A balanced diet would probably include some of each.

  • My dog doesnt seem to chew at all it just gobbles everything up.

Im hesitant to feed it anything bony.

    Can dog eat fish?

  • @HeavensValkyrie

That's part of the negative aspect of owning a dog is the fact you may have to take your dog to a vet hospital and spend thousands of dollars in medical fees plus tons of worry because your dog ate too much, ate the wrong thing, like a shoe, part of the house...

I have the butcher slice the meat in small slices so he is forced to eat slower, but he still gobbles it down. You could take a meat cleaver and hack the chicken carcasses into smaller pieces.

  • @HeavensValkyrie It's probably a good idea for every dog owner to take a CPR/Choking type class so when your dog over eats or begins choking, because they eat so fast and don't chew their food enough, you're able to prevent them from killing themselves. Strange creatures, aren't they and the stress the owners put themselves through to own such an animal? Their personalities and behavior has been altered for tens of thousands of years so they be our companions or serve our needs.

  • You can tell the dog enjoys REAL food. Look at that happy face.

  • @OS253 He's happy as long as I'm feeding him. I'm sure he'd be happy to leave me and follow the next person walking by with a cheeseburger and french fries. It's the life of a dog. Why work for anything when the human will provide it for you?

  • and that's probably what will happen to anyone trespassing his area

    cool dog

  • @Timmyboy505 It's fascinating to watch a protection type breed do what they've been programmed to do, and that is protect, alert...It's all built in. Like a computer with built in functions. Their ability to spot moving objects, hear sounds, always on guard, ready to protect and serve. With training, it becomes much more pronounced. Fascinating that a protection dog will go after a person and take them down and think it's a lot of fun and that he's been a good boy for doing such. Never boring.

  • @sanfranciscobay indeed true true, watch, and guar dogs are my favorite breed of dogs, especially the molossers, they will do anything for you ( provided you train them well and traet them with love and respect) often these breeds are pictured as fierce wardogs, Ofcourse they were that once, and still bare traits of there ancestors, but in general they are much more loveable, loyal and less annoying then those walking toupets like chihuahua's ore pommeranians

  • I wish I had the immune system to eat raw chicken!

    *sigh*

  • Beautiful dog... he looks good and healthy, looks friendly and calm, but also doesn't look like you would want to jump your fence and come face to face with him at night lol!

  • raw meat is healthier for dogs because the meat is not greasy and dog teeth can chew raw meat easily

  • wait i thought dogs cant eat chicken bones?

  • @asonander Raw bones are perfect and the best for them. Cooked bones can splinter and cause internal bleeding/death...

  • @asonander

    wolfs do all the time

  • Will you make a video of his teeth. I want to see them at 10 years old and on the raw diet.

  • That animal must love you, that is some good eating right there.

  • @mrceebees14 We wish and think our animals love us. I think he leave me in a moment if a person with a cheeseburger and french fries walked by. Dogs are smart; They follow the source of food.

  • @mrceebees14 He's happy as long as I'm feeding him and then a dark quiet room and soft bed to sleep on in between the feedings. I'm sure he'd be happy to leave me and follow the next person walking by with a cheeseburger and french fries. It's the life of a dog. Why work for anything when the human will provide it for you?

  • Nothing is more satisfying than hearing your dog, and even my own 10 week old pup, crunching those healthy bones. Congrats on taking the best care of your dog. Thank you for spreading the message on raw feeding.

  • will the dog attack if u take it away? and what happens if u feedd a dog cooked chicken & bone

  • @PrankingAdventures Dogs, like people, should be left alone when eating. You should NOT be putting your hands or face anywhere near them while they are eating. He could very easily bite me if I was to try to take his food away. What is preventing him from biting me? Nothing but his mental capacity, which is that of a 4 year old. Cooked bones can splinter and puncture a dogs intestines causing a dog to bleed to death internally. Cooked chicken is fine, raw is better.

  • @PrankingAdventures Tyson will eat raw pork, but he will not eat raw chicken. So I cook the chicken for him, add it to some rice with some soy sauce and he eats it and seems to enjoy it. I remove the bones from the chicken prior to cooking it and feed him the bones raw after he eats his main meal. The bones are like the desert for the dog. Watch what they eat. Take notes if necessary. Some dogs don't like things that should be good for them, but they will eat garbage that is bad for them.

  • @PrankingAdventures Also, I might add, dogs should never be fed any bone that is cooked regardless of whether or not the cooked bone is from a chicken. Cooking can cause any type of bone, be it chicken, pork, beef, etc, to splinter.

  • Is it ok if I don't feed my dog organic?

  • @puffsnackz Yes, it's fine if it is not organic. Get your dog eating healthy food, like raw meat and bones. Avoid processed dog food, it's like eating McDonalds garbage. Do a search on google with the words "BARF" diet for dogs. Biologically appropriate raw foods. Just do as much as you can for your dog in regards to his quality of food.

  • Do you suspect that wolves carry around a little hotplate with them while hunting?

  • Hey vegetarians! GO FUCK YOURSELVES!

  • @mrceebees14 That sort of summarizes what a meat eating dog would tell the Vegan Protesters with the "Don't Eat Meat signs".

  • @sanfranciscobay Pretty much.

  • Hey beautiful GSD! Pretty awesome that you're giving him good, raw, real food. Are you sure it's safe to be giving him all those chicken bones though? I always thought they splinter easily and can cut or choke a dog. My mom actually pressure cooks tons of chicken at a time and then separates it from the bones. Anyway, great looking dog- thanks for posting the video.

  • @mrbkemmerer

It's safe and recommended that you give your dog raw bones. Cooked bones are potentially dangerous because they can splinter and puncture their intestinal tract which could be fatal. RAW BONES, from beef, pork, chicken etc ARE FINE.

  • @sanfranciscobay why he has whiskers lol

  • @gtasandman He has whiskers because he is unable to shave his face. His paws can't push the button on the shaving cream can and can't hold the razor. Maybe someday...

  • @sanfranciscobay #LOL

  • that dog looks way younger than 10!!!!!!!!

apparently you guys do a good job taking care of him

  • were do u get ur meat from

  • @GhostOfKhalistan

I buy the pork at $1.80/lb in Chinatown in Oakland, CA. They will sell as much or as little as you need and will thin slice it for you for free. The chicken carcasses are .49 cents/lb which equals about .30 cents each.

Meat has approx 1,000 calories per pound. Tyson who weighs 100lbs needs approx 2 pounds per day. I serve him rice with his meat sometimes and add other things to the rice to add flavor as plain rice is not his favorite.

  • Your dog is a beast. This is a man's dog...

  • @PeanutButterGtr

Thanks for the compliment on "The Beast". The interesting part is that he can be a beast one moment, like a serious protection breed, always on the alert, ready to protect and serve... then roll over on his back and stare at me till I come over and rub his chest and body at which point he becomes my BooBoo or GooGoo baby.

  • @sanfranciscobay He's absolutely beautiful. How many times a day or how often do you give him raw meat? What's his raw meat/veggie ratio?

  • @PeanutButterGtr I try to feed him at least twice per day and sometimes more. I feed him mostly raw pork and chicken with some cooked rice because it's inexpensive calories. He likes to eat raw pork but does not eat raw chicken so I cook the chicken for him and give him the raw chicken bones from the parts I'm cooking along with some rice and soy sauce. The pork is $1.50-2.00/lb and the chicken is .90/lb.

I don't have a meat/veggie ratio. What type of vegetables are good to feed to a dog?

  • @sanfranciscobay HI MY BUTCHER SELLS HALF A PIGS FACE FOR ABOUT $1.80 WOULD THAT BE OK TO FEED HIM EVERYDAY?

  • @MrLeebo123 A dog needs meat for the calories, vitamins, minerals... I believe a pigs face is mostly skin and fat with little meat on it. A diet high in fat is unhealthy. I believe the proper diet is 80% meat, 10% organs like liver and 10% bones. Look at what the pigs face. What percentage is meat vs skin vs fat? The meat is the red part, like what we would eat in our diet.

  • @sanfranciscobay OK THANKS ALOT FOR THE ADVICE
