actually after the merger of Square Enix with, they could not hit the Final Fantasy series, do not remake of previous versions especially FFVII and FFVIII. Serve as an example one of the best game companies like Capcom did the remake of Resident Evil and was just perfect! FF just played to the version X! the rest, for me is nothing but trash!
At first, i thought it was my problem, that i was getting to old for this stuff, too old to get immersed in a game, that only child had that ability. So i thought that's why after i played 2 hours of FF12 and 2 hours of FF13, i reached the conclusion that this was just boring crap and stop playing. And then i decided to play FF8 again (that i completed in chinese version by the way :p ). And then i realise. Nope! i still love this stuff! it was just ENIX who killed the FF serie!
Shit.. there is so much to do in FF8.. i love it! Im 27 now and im STILL finding new things in this game to this day. Series has gone down since FFX--the last great Final Fantasy. FFXII was acceptable but it did not "feel" quite right. FFXI should have been called Final Fantasy Online and FFXIV should have been called Final Fantasy Online II: Eorzea
FFXIII should have been called Final Fantasy: Abomination and should have also forewarned us that it was a spin off of Cloud in drag.

Laguna was obvious, he had a relationship with the dead women (forgot her name) and after the crisis visited the grave cause there was no impending danger.
Squall allowwed Seifer to see the dark side of what was happening, and he was probably happy that Squall had won and saved the world after he had been manipulated.
Both would live their normal lives, Seifer wouldn't be angry at Squall as much, more like aquatences rather
Squall Was lost in himself, he had lost who he was, what he had faught for, and what place he needed to go to due to, most likely, the summon use theory, where their memories fade, especially after the battles.
Squall tries to remember everything but breaks his mind forgetting, and due to exhaustian, faints. and, perhaps dreamt of a place, remembering it, and waking up to the real world.

The main problem with gaming today, is people are still trying to innovate concepts that are already done. The battling in Final Fantasy was epic when they got the ATB, then they removed the ATB for some crappy battle system that looks like it's trying too hard to be secret of mana.

I like the magic/attribute system too but what i meant is like for example, your magic stat is 255 which is the maximum but you still can only draw maximum of 9 magic regardless of whether it is strong(e.g. Ultima) or weak (e.g. Fire) magic so i am suggesting that the number of magic being drawn is dependent of the magic stat.Such as a 255 magic stat can draw 100 fire at once instead of only 9 which I think it makes more sense,
FF8 should be remake because it has potential. The reason why many think this series is the worst is because of stuff like drawing magic. It can be remake in such a way that drawing magic is more related to magic stat point and not limit to just maximum 9 magic drawn. And they should fix lots of flaw in the game such as in one cinematic, there is no way the bullet that Irvine shot hit the front of the sorceress. Instead, it should be the back of the sorceress.

@Sessorous Well, maybe shadow hearts 2 is more for you, 1 is pretty obscure and less polished than 2. As for SMT, you have Nocturne, which is difficult, long, but rather light on story. Then there is Digital Devil saga, which I haven't played yet. Persona 3 and 4 are pretty good, but have some 'date sim' style gameplay in them. The story of each megami game is generally not connected to the other games. Though the digital devil saga is connected and the two Devil summoner games too.
@Sessorous I'm glad that SOMEONE still appreciates intense tactical turn-based combat. It can put you on edge! I never got into the Active Time Battle System bullshit. Cuz during a battle I can't set it down or think of a good plan unless I'm given a good amount of time AKA 3 seconds after I'm dead.... =_=

@Brawlmaster90 No I'll agree with you, XIII was a definite improvement. I'm still in the middle of playing it myself. It can feel a bit redundant though. I feel like I'm just running and fighting. There's almost no areas where you can stop and explore and do side quests. Granted that you can say it's a result of the circumstances of the story but that's not enough to make me have an negative view of the game. Story line is great, characters are memorable, and the music and visuals are the best.
Well, FFXIII's beginning was that "Those soldiers destroy all L'cie and Cie'th", Lightning and her comrades are given a mission and are branded L'cie. Yea, when I was playing, I did felt like there was no secrets are places you cant get a hidden summon or weapon. At least the action was enjoyable.

Somehow I think Final Fantasy 13 characters are NEARLY similar to the Final Fantasy 8 characters except that they have better animated looks. Somehow Final Fantasy 13 Graphic artist must have used sketch arts of Final Fantasy 8 and just improved their looks in FF13. I gotta say, I disagree on that. But I have a feeling FF8 and FF13 are rlated in animated characters and areas. Then again they do look similar. At least the story is different. Although FF12 did look like FFT series.

FF7 had many fans because it was released earlier and was amazing. But FF8 was even greater

@prutsikas not necesserily. FF7 has a good story line compared to 8, but the lead characters story Squall>Cloud. but Squall is really the only one with any character =/. lots of things let 8 down to make 7 better.... 8's still my favourite, cause its fucking awesome

The main problem with gaming today, is people are still trying to innovate concepts that are already done. The battling in Final Fantasy was epic when they got the ATB, then they removed the ATB for some crappy battle system that looks like it's trying too hard to be secret of mana.

I like the magic/attribute system too but what i meant is like for example, your magic stat is 255 which is the maximum but you still can only draw maximum of 9 magic regardless of whether it is strong(e.g. Ultima) or weak (e.g. Fire) magic so i am suggesting that the number of magic being drawn is dependent of the magic stat.Such as a 255 magic stat can draw 100 fire at once instead of only 9 which I think it makes more sense,

FF8 should be remake because it has potential. The reason why many think this series is the worst is because of stuff like drawing magic. It can be remake in such a way that drawing magic is more related to magic stat point and not limit to just maximum 9 magic drawn. And they should fix lots of flaw in the game such as in one cinematic, there is no way the bullet that Irvine shot hit the front of the sorceress. Instead, it should be the back of the sorceress.

Thanks Noubo Uematsu, best video game music composer ever!! We really don't need a remake, cause it's a masterpiece,and these kind of games cannot be touched or degenerated (like FFX in FFX-2). Since FFVIII, only IX and X have been great games...
FFXIII maybe has better graphics, but it's music and story are horrible. I would recommend to play this game before XIII to actual and future generations of players.

I agree. Square seems hellbent using their online combat system on the main titles as means to advertise the MMO version. The series has been going downhill since XI. I'm starting to think turn based is a dead concept lol. So sad.

I do want to try Shin Megami but I've seen three or four different ones and I can't figure out which is the first, or if it even matters at all. So I'm just like meh.

@Sessorous Well, maybe shadow hearts 2 is more for you, 1 is pretty obscure and less polished than 2. As for SMT, you have Nocturne, which is difficult, long, but rather light on story. Then there is Digital Devil saga, which I haven't played yet. Persona 3 and 4 are pretty good, but have some 'date sim' style gameplay in them. The story of each megami game is generally not connected to the other games. Though the digital devil saga is connected and the two Devil summoner games too.

@Sessorous I'm glad that SOMEONE still appreciates intense tactical turn-based combat. It can put you on edge! I never got into the Active Time Battle System bullshit. Cuz during a battle I can't set it down or think of a good plan unless I'm given a good amount of time AKA 3 seconds after I'm dead.... =_=

since you can choose for a slow like battle were you choose carrefully your actions or just fight like crazy turning it to active in the configuration (lol)

@Brawlmaster90 No I'll agree with you, XIII was a definite improvement. I'm still in the middle of playing it myself. It can feel a bit redundant though. I feel like I'm just running and fighting. There's almost no areas where you can stop and explore and do side quests. Granted that you can say it's a result of the circumstances of the story but that's not enough to make me have an negative view of the game. Story line is great, characters are memorable, and the music and visuals are the best.

Well, FFXIII's beginning was that "Those soldiers destroy all L'cie and Cie'th", Lightning and her comrades are given a mission and are branded L'cie. Yea, when I was playing, I did felt like there was no secrets are places you cant get a hidden summon or weapon. At least the action was enjoyable.

Somehow I think Final Fantasy 13 characters are NEARLY similar to the Final Fantasy 8 characters except that they have better animated looks. Somehow Final Fantasy 13 Graphic artist must have used sketch arts of Final Fantasy 8 and just improved their looks in FF13. I gotta say, I disagree on that. But I have a feeling FF8 and FF13 are rlated in animated characters and areas. Then again they do look similar. At least the story is different. Although FF12 did look like FFT series.
