  • Michael is a HUGE inspiration for me as a picker! Every time I watch this I'm just so mindblown at how incredible this is.

  • i never thought I'd say this, but thats too fast

  • just love this guy

  • Love to hear this without the clapping. If I'd been there I'd have been hollering and clapping too but you kind of lose the incredible speed and clarity when there's spontaneous outburst at 0:58. Still and all, miraculous!

  • denriza, Charlie Daniels is a hack compared to Michael

  • I bet playing the fiddle is the only thing this guy can do fast

  • The world is so lucky he and the fiddle found each other.

  • that is as fast as can be played. Notice the other guys can't hang at all.

  • HOLY $#*%

  • slow down!

  • He'd give Charle Daniels a run for his money =oD

  • these are showcase tunes. every band that has any good musicians does them. its not like every song in the set is this fast. its fast and its good, why complain about it?

  • He move like jello!

  • *gasp*

  • I tell ya, if Michael Cleveland had been the devil's target in that great song, Satan wouldn'ta just hung his head, he'd cry.

  • I never thought that such fiddler exist. Fantastic way to use that instrument.

  • Amazing!

  • I saw this guy live and h is one CRAZY fucker. The guy was sawing on the fiddle so hard the bow snapped and my buddy loaned him his bow for the night

  • You're an idiot!

  • No, not really, i tend to agree. It's great speed, but most of it feels faked to me. And the sound is muddled because of the speed. Don't get wrong, he's an awesome player, but most of his stuff I've heard he plays like this.

  • i don,t think anyone could nut that tune any cleaner for that speed have to really pay attention to the tempo nice job

  • ya hes the best and blind

  • Rock on! Thrills me to death to see somebody who has found their calling.

  • what a joy!

  • not very often someone with a gift like Micheal's come along I'm appreciating what God has given him

  • I not only blown away by the fiddler but amazed at the speed those banjo picking fingers rolling those chords behind him.

  • Thats Tom Adams I think. Tom was one of the best banjo players in bluegrass. Sadly, Tom is no longer able to play three finger banjo due to a medical condition, but he is still a good guitar player.

Check out Tom's cds "Adam's County Banjo" and "Right Hand Man." Michael also recorded a couple cds with Tom. Thats some great picking! Tom was so clean it was unreal!

  • Well I tell ya...the way he plays his two finger sounds like three finger

  • Did ya know he's blind? Yeah he's that damn good!

  • I saw the banjo player whispering something to Michael. I bet it was "we're having trouble keeping up." Just kidding. Awesome playing by the fiddle and band!

  • amen!

  • Pure unadulterated skills(skillz)!!!

  • Cleaveland is up there with O'Connor.

  • Please.............

  • AMAZING!!!

  • a damn gift is right son. good lord!

  • While there are other really good fiddlers in bluegrass (like Hunter Berry, Andy Leftwich, Jimmy Mattingly, etc.), Michael Cleveland is in a league all his own. He has an incredible gift.

  • Jimmy Mattingly worked for Garth Brooks as his touring fiddle player a long time ago. I know he is in a BG band that is pretty popular right now, but I can't think of the name for nothing. Do you know?

  • The Grascals, he is by far the most talented person in the band.

  • I agree, that fiddle player is great.

  • anyone have a copy of him and Rhonda doing "When I close my eyes" from mountain stage episode?

  • This is the band that reinvented Rhonda Vincent! That fiddle is on fire!
