I think they sound better than Enya. That's just my opinion. I can tell that their choir director really knows what he's doing. All of the boys really know how to control the volume levels absolutely perfectly and their isn't one boy who over powers or takes away from one another. I sang in the ST THOMAS BOYS CHOIR NYC in the 80's. We were one of the best choirs in the world. I wish to god we could have sung musical pieces like Libera's

That's not at all likely. They will lose some high notes but gain lower ones. Just ask Declan Galbraith or Damian McGinty.You can find them both here on YouTube before and after their voice changes. They are 16 now with fantastic voices.

My information has it that Ben joined Libera in early 2006 at the age of 7. He sang his first solo for the song Lacrymosa that was featured on Songs of Praise in Feb. 2007. at the age of 8. No birthdate given but that would make him 9. He looks and acts like a 9 year old in person. Quite a character with a long career ahead of him with Libera.

as you know "solo" may have meant he sang only a few stanza's with one or two others. I just don't know but still impressive. No doubt he will probably take Tom's place some day, but probably after Joe. I can't imagine Libera without Tom, but still can't wait to hear Ed, Joe & Ben.

Lets do some speculating. It's said that Ben Crawlet's voice didn't change 'till he was 16. If that holds true for Tom he has 2 more years to go. Liam & ED are both 12 so al three could conceivably change about the same time.Lead solo generally goes to the older boy so if does change soon Liam & Ed are going to have a shorter run than Tom has had. If I was Mr.Prizeman I would be salivating at the prospect of composing and arranging songs for Joe & Ben to share the lead solo.

Hmm... Tom and Michael kind of shared the role of "lead soloist" until Michael's voice changed... I mean, on Visions and Angel Voices, Michael has more solo's, but on New Dawn and Angel Voices: Libera in Concert, Tom had more solos! So it could really be any of the 4, depending on when their voices change, as you said!! But isn't Joe about 12 too?? I don't think his age is known either, but it appears in many behind the scenes videos that he and Ed are friends so he is probably 11 or 12! Hmm...

I have Joe's age the same as mini-Ben. Notice that Joe is almost a head shorter shorter than mini-Ben. Joe joined Libera in Nov.06,about the same time as Ben. Age may have nothing to do with friendship, but things like school & neighborhood. There is a big age differance between Tom and mini-Ben yet are often seen together. At Riverside they both led the way to and sat together at the autograph table. I think in their situation they both have "loose cannon" personalities - hard to believe.

I was just doing some digging and I read on BCSD that Ben was born in January of 1996 and that Joe was born in December of 1995, which would make the pair of them almost 13, but I don't know about that...
