we definitely agree about the Bach 6th Partita, my husband a retired professional musician from the Fontainbleu in the 50's is now playing this partita, also. He and I just love Hubert Kappel, catch the You tube at the Music Academy as he plays and speaks, and is playing the Prelude from Bach's suite NO. 1. He is so expressive and has the greatest smile and soul.
It's a shame he isn't a household name. I've been a huge fan of his for about 20 years. I wish someone would post a video of him playing Bach's 6th Partita--one of the great achievements on the guitar.
He is feeling it and not pretending! He is not a sportsman but an artist.
