  • R.I.P. Lead Belly R.I.P. Johnny Cash

  • So appropriate for our current situation! To all my fellow East-coasters, stay safe.

  • Very touching and God bless you and your grandma.

  • Gorgeous version, just gorgeous.

  • according to google translate that is hebrew for "Great performance (in my opinion besides the Willie Nelson)."

  • ביצועים נהדרים(לטעמי חוץ מזה של ווילי נלסון).

  • If there is a boom box around, i'll play this song when Irene passes.

  • @hoghash78

thank you for that reccomendation -just checked it out ,two thumbs up from me!. did you check out his version of midnight special?

  • @50sJohnny I just did =) The vocals were good, but maybe too upbeat, you know.

What I would love to hear again is Leadbellys´ "John Hardy"

This was to me anyway was so intense....But I can only find covers.

    Anyway Best wishes.

  • My grandfather used to sing this to my grandmother. As Alzheimer's has taken over and she is close to being back with him in heaven, she still recognizes this song and "dances" to it with me. Grandpa used to do this polka style- the only thing better than Cash. Johnny's version brings me an extraordinary amount of peace.

  • @glittergirlgabs , what a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing that.
