  • SLOW DOWN! A note by note explanation and less wanking would be cool instead of you can do this.... Blllluuuuuurrrrr of hands. Remember not everyone trying to learn this stuff is as advanced as you are.

  • Doing this lesson tuned down a half step makes it that much more difficult to follow this lesson...I would have played along but didn't want to take the time to tune down, so I'm moving on....

  • That's some tasty shit :)

  • cool playin, is that a blues overdrive?

  • @exhesham Thanks. The amp is a Pro Junior turned up pretty loud.

  • This is way over my level but I still learned a few things. Thanks for sharing!

  • Hi I wish you success

  • Kermit the frog doing guitar lessons now?

  • I like all the Stevie Ray references, thanks for a great video man

  • this is very helpful, thx John...really man, you ROCK!!!

  • u got lightning fingers

  • what about moving to the 4 and the 5 chords like in the standard 12 bar blues?

  • you fuck'n suck

  • I really wish you hadn't tuned it down half a step but arrgh this is worth it

  • Wow, where did you start? I mean, practice of course, but what did you play? Great guitar playing!

    Thanks for the video.

  • I like your style !!!! You feel it .

  • Wow. Blues, or Metal, its kinda hard to tell.

  • where can i get the tab for this scale?

  • @HazyTrav fuck your fuck'n tabs. FEEL the groove whiteboy.

  • Great!!! Thanks so much man!!!!

  • sounds sweet.

  • When you played that lick, SRV popped in my mind. Man thanks, I stopped playing over 20 years ago..I forgot everything I learned. I just started playing again. You helped me find another peace of the puzzle. Thanks for the lesson.

  • I gained nothing from this video because you placed vibratos where you should have been showing the notes on the fretboard.

That, and you play riffs too fast for anyone to decipher what notes you're playing. All you were doing was showing off for the people that watch this video.

Although entertaining, this has no informative qualities.

  • @InverseSun get a grip, prob some of the best vids on youtube

  • Nice

  • you make so big moves with fingers, how many liters you sweataday? xb

good riffs you have! all note are clean! like it!

    grts

  • John, I am begging you to send me the tab for 1:40 to 1:45 please! I will pay what ever you want by paypal! Please! Just that little riff is driving me mad!

  • what about your little finger ...?

  • No need for it in this style. You will never see SRV using his 4th finger using this pattern. There's just a different attitude you get by not using this finger.

You get a different tone with the pinky for sure.

  • Show off! :-) I love your lessons...especially this one.

  • I'm lost *_@ i forgot the blues scale from all the mini licks lal

  • John - This is one of my favorite lessons - but you should really tab it -- its hard to follow!

  • Jeez slow down for me I can't process this in my mind! JEez LOL you're good.

  • tabs man

  • R u using 10's or 11's on this lesson?

  • .011 .50 on bottom GHS Boomers same as slide guitar. They make you work on standard guitar, that's why it's actually better to tune down.

  • Just an awesome vid, thanks John.

  • great lesson! awesome!

  • great lesson ! awesome!

  • Dude why has this video only been viewed 549 times, your awesome man would love to have some one to one lessons with you, thanx for all the lessons man x

  • Thanks guys. If you wanna help with views pass it around.

  • @johntuggle I don't understand how you can just add notes to the scale, and it never sounds right when i do. Any tips? Please do another on this subject.

  • great lesson John.

    Many thanks Andy

  • Thanks, the blues scale is awesome!

  • Good lesson John, Do u use a tuner for that besides just ear? 5*

  • For that video I used a tuner. You can do it by ear though. Just get your first pitch as Eb on the A string 6th fret and tune the low E string to it. Now tune as normal.

It'll take your guitar a little time to get used to it, so it may need to be tuned a few times.
