i have to agree with you kLemon, it sounds better on BBC News 24 and it sounds a lot more authentic. With the sting, it sounds like it has just been added without thinking.
It's not as bad as it was with the previous mix. The older "ribbons-around-the-world" one fitted quite well as it was actually composed especially for bbc world, rather than an adaptation of a News 24 theme
if you've heard the news 24 versions ull notice the tune sounds a lot better without the bbc world sting - i guess they're just trying to assert their own identity but it doesn't do the music any favours
you don't really know what you are talking about do you. how long have u watched bbc world for? a week? BBC World has had a signature tune, not a sting, a tune... since 1999, and they ain't dropping it anytime soon because you don't like it.
I've been watching bbc world for 2 years and I know about the signature tune - I just think it doesn't sound good inserted into News 24 countdown music.
