Ah- I thought I'd find you here! I agree that these "Why Chicago" videos don't offer much insight toward their career services. Then again, it's all just a show; if they can romanticize Chicago and the school, they'll get more money.
Although the U of C has more grad students than undergrads, it doesn't mean they're all about research, though that's definitely a large focus. Still, purely from an economic standpoint, if the U of C didn't have a college, they'd have less revenue.
Second half: undergrads live on campus at least their freshman year, so they can jack up the price of room and board. Sure, overall they'll earn more in a year off their grad programs since they're larger, but, per student, they earn more from the undergrads.
I know it helps support your falling self-esteem to think that you're always in the right, but I pray you begin to realize that you don't get anywhere only listening to yourself.
