I'm not sure because I've never seen Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai, but Himaruya says he's a HUGE FAN of it (It's also made by Studio DEEN which does the Hetalia anime). It would be awesome cause that's a great fanmade ending. Btw should I watch that show?

It's a Higurashi opening, what do you expect? Higurashi is a series full of violence and gore so if you use this opening for a different fan-made opening of another anime, it has to be serious and violent.

Even though this is just a copyover of unlimited, it actually shows the true side of war in some kind of essence. When Hetalia does show its war histories, it's still a comedy anime, but this would go well to what's actually behind the lightheartedness of the historyy they represent. I've always wondered what they would have done with the tragic parts of history.

Yes, I agree with this completely, however, people were concerned that such a concept would be more risque and unsettling than the comedic and melodramatic elements used with in the anime currently. However, it might be nice for Himaruya to start making some more serious strips in the future. And the strips that were far too serious or risque were excluded from the anime for exactly that reason. XP

Even soo, I kind of like hetalia the way it actually is (anime version) Though I would love to see some more drama, I actually like the balance of drama and humor in hetalia, the style is unique and is what makes hetalia hetalia. Anyone else pick up on some hints of 'setting the stage'? like The Anglo Japanese alliance (without meantoning the dissolve of it) And more recent story: The black ships have come.

wow! this lks awsome! but unfortunatlly the OP dosent go w/ the plot of the anime......mainly 'cause Hetalia is a comedy, not a serious endever(watever that means). the only part that serious in the series was wen America was remembering the Revolutionary War.....and that made me(and many others)cry! honastly i luv comedy, but i think if they made a more serious version of Healia(im pretty sure its possible), i would luv 2 c it

I think Hetalia is meant as a happy and cheerful anime. I'm not saying the video isn't fantastic, but I think that it wouldn't really work with the premise of it. =D But, great video!

@violetakima9 When it comes to the darker fan videos, they are usually meant more as an alternate interpretation that the fans have made of the characters. Being a show based around personified countries, the characters can be used to show the darker side of history. It's all fanon, minus the Bloody Sunday strip. (Even that was toned WAY down.)

Anyway, I think we all know that subjects like the Ukrainian Holocaust or the Nanjing Massacre won't be brought up, and the series will remain a comedy.

Excuse me, but you did not make this video. The original video was made with the song "Unlimited" by Nanase Aikawa, hence the title at 0:12 Hetalia "U" and underneath it says BGM: Unlimited. The entire video was 2 minutes and 45 seconds long. You cut it into two, making one part "your" fan-made opening and the other the ending.

I intend no offense. I see nothing wrong with sharing it on Youtube. However, if you claim it as yours, I can't just stand by and do nothing.
