It is absolutly UNFAIR,even naive to say that Piaf is better than Mireille!First has a voice based only an impressive vibrato,nothing more,the second has a voice worked like vocalist who performed many different and complex songs.Piaf is more an actress-voice,Mireille a musical-voice!

some prefer Mireille because she not only imitates iaf in a great way but she has own style and manner of singing as well

@mire7o91 o,yes it is about preferences,but cos i heard about so many ugly attacks at her adress coming in general from Piaf's funs ,i just try to explain in musical terms and indirectly to atention about how stupid they can be.I love and respect Piaf very much,i know a lot about her life,her great songs,i saw many films about her,but OMG Mireille has such a fantastic musical prestation too, than i am really perplex to find how much can she be hated and dennied!!!

@jerash5 Please do not forget the marvelous voice. :-) And that she did not look like a hooker (as required nowadays), but like an elegant woman whose appearance was something to copy if possible, for both mothers and daughters. She was one of the last ones loved by several generations, not just teenagers. It was no requirement for teenagers to despise everything their parents liked, or get excluded from peer group...
