Was she ever actually involved with Marcello? Did she cheat on Carlo with other men? I have not heard or read any rumors or gossip about that but then who knows. A person's marital life or personal life is their business only and some people do not like talking about certain things. They were happily married for over a century and have two grown sons. She stuck by him till his death in his mid 90s and i think she was in her seventies. Their marriage did have ups and downs of course.

I don't ever recall about Sophia Loren being involved with Marcello Mastrianni and she from what i have read she did not have an illegitimate daughter with him either. He was involved with Catherine Denevue in the seventies and had a daughter with her and Catherine was by his side when he died of pancreatic cancer. However, Sophia Loren and Marcello did costar in several movies together but then that does not neccesarily mean they were involved.

Sophia only has 2 children, Carlo Jr. and Eduardo, with Carlo. She was 15 when she met him and he was 37. He was separated from his wife but couldn't divorce her because it was illegal in Italy at the time. They didn't get legally married until 1966, fifteen years after they met.
