I'm from Michigan. I know The Legend Of The Dogman. It started out as an 1987 April Fools joke on WTCM Radio in Traverse City, but after being aired several times during the day, people began contacting the station with their own stories of encounters with a wolf like creature in northern Michigan. WTCM soon found startling similarities between the song they had created and centuries old stories from the Ottawa Indians of a creature they called Wendigo and the French explorers called Loup Garou.

According to most of the eyewitnesses who have reported seeing the Dogman, it resembles the sterotypical werewolf seen in movies such as 'The Howling' or more recently, 'Van Helsing', so the picture used in this video probably isn't too far off.
