Stan Winston was the man !!! I think Robert Patrick deserved an academy award nomination for best supporting actor . His body language and facial expressions were spot on in each and every scene !!!!!!!!

See, the Academy... like a lot of people at that time... thought so little of movies with Arnold Schwarzenegger and movies with big effects budgets that they refused to look past either element to see the actual GENIUS behind it all.

Listen to how much respect they had for Cameron here. They knew he was being snubbed at this years Oscars (no decent nomination, Best Picture, director etc). Too right as well, T2 was one of the best pictures that year. True classic.

@JackKlompus13 Gotta remember the time Hook was made, CGI was still in its infancy, but the pioneers were working hard, and with T2 and Jurassic Park, CGI came in leaps and bounds.

The flying scenes are not that bad, but they are the best part of a boring movie.

I love Terminator 2's visual effects. Just amazing! Impressive job well done, Dennis Muren, Stan Winston, Robert Skotak, and Gene Warenn Jr. And a very impressive job well done, Gary Rydstrom for winning Sound Mixing and Sound Editing in this category. And perject job well done, James Cameron!

The T2 Effects were so fucking EPIC! I am still wondering how they made some of them, they were so ahead of their time!

I mean look at the other nominees..

It just freaks me out when I think of what PC I had back in 1995, 233MHz.... What they achieved was incredible.
