  • Lemonmaster Cougar-I've got one and boy am I one depressed dude.

  • The cougar is the worst stick i've ever laid hands on. Can't understand the hype about this metal sh*t. Oh yeah, it's like flying an F16! lol

  • @panzemeyer I agree, the original mechanics is worse than a 5 dollars joystick (impossible to fly and especialy aiming), but software is Rolls Royce

  • I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE THE COUGAR WITH IL2 STURMOVIK! that has got to be the hardest game to set up a control stick on.... i have no idea how to set it up.... on all other flight sims i have, u select the elevator/alrons, then tip the stick in the coresponding direction.... it DOUSNT WORK on il2 sturmovik! -_- that is the first flight simulator that i have ACTUALLY gotten MAD at... ive gotten bored with others, and or broken them, but never mad... this is a first... >:-l

  • You have to scroll right down to the bottom of the options, the keyboard bindable functions are seperate to the hotas configuration.

I had the same issues trying to set up my throttle until i realised this.

Although you might be having a different problem, i thought i'd share this just in case.

  • i got X52 no problem

  • I got X52. Nothing BUT problems. Last week, I had to solder 3 wires back together in the base of the stick.

  • I've had both they are both great sticks. Personally Thrustmaster has great tech support and has helped with any problems I've had. Example my ant elev pot was going so they just sent me a new one free!

  • @FEFSTalen LMAO.

    They are the worst!

  • that happend to me too. i just got rid of it... very bad joystick, feels very much like a toy :(

  • i want to have a joystick but dunno what to take.hotas cougar or saitek x52 pro.need an advice,

  • That's a nice stick. Lovin' the Beatles in the background xD

  • ooh yeah, movethat joy stick babey.... mmmm, just like that...

  • Wait whats this mod u guys keep talking about?

  • "HOTAS COUGAR STICK (original core)" is before MOD

  • what does the mod do and how do i get it? I have a cougar

  • 2/2 You can get gimbal replacements for this stick, but they cost twice what the stick cost initially, and that's just crazy. I do understand that the guy who makes them spends alot of his free time making them though, but to me it's just not worth it. You can also get a pressure sensor setup that makes the stick act like the real F16 stick, which does not move at all, it just senses the pressure you put on it. That's probably a better option for the jet pilots out there.

  • I had this stick, still have, stopped using it cause of the screwed up gimball design. When doing complete circles with this thing it has some really sticky spots at 12 3 6 and 9. You cant swirve it around in a smooth circle, and that really sucks for maneuvering your craft for some really precise aiming. Had to go back to my X52 saitek stick.. Getting a CH Hotas setup as soon as i can afford it. 1/2

  • man ur a hard core gamer due what do u play?

  • Lol...its not just some "cheap stick". On the contary, its probably the most expensive HOTAS (hands on throttle and stick) there is on the market. Its an exact replica of the throttle and stick used in the F-16C aircraft. If your a serious simmer (like me), its fantastic. Its also a full metal construction, unlike the cheap plastic ones you buy in your local store. One of these will set you back roughly £130, so its not cheap!

  • whats the mod for the cougar people keep talking about? I just ordered one and I hope I dont have to keep messing around with it in order to play IL2 or Lock on or FSX or any other of the fun, precise flight sims I have.

  • I haven't modded my Cougar and there is nothing wrong with just using a stock version. Be sure to check the ANT ELEV pot as some earlier batches had a fault in which there was no centre detent. Also if you can check the gimbals for grease so you don't cause excess wear on the pots. Apart from that no worries just make yourself a profile in Foxy which you can D/L from cougar world and your away. Enjoy your Cougar! You'll never be able to go back to plastic sticks again after you've used a Cougar!

  • Lol thanks a lot that should help me! I just sold a plastic CH Fighterstick and Pro throttle to get this they cost $200 and I thought to myself wit theres a cougar out there for the same price. Love it so much more that the Fighterstick.

  • is it better than the jsaitek x52 pro??????thx

  • wtf is this crap? some nub nerd playing with some cheap stick..
