Altought it seems a nice way to perform a class V. Class V are a breeze to do with standard burs. I guess it just shows that you can do everyday work with that laser.
That said... that composite job's esthetics is real poor. I was doing better job as a student. The color isn't spot on. No translucidity. I've seen better
And what about situations when the tooth requires root canal filling? Can this laser work on root canals as well without involving that hell invention called bi directional spiral or any root canal needles at all? Because who ever created those needles that go inside the tooth root deserves to be put in jail for the rest of they're life.
today i'd fixed 4 of my teeth .It was painless for 2 of my caries but the other 2 was deep and there was medium sometimes strong pain but this laser is 100000000000000000000000000000000000 better than the old technology that fix your teeth ... sorry for my fucking english
The Laser work looks real good. The bonding of the enamel looks a bit off color and clumpy. Maybe grind it smooth and put a Vanier? I would like to be a dentist but the schooling and money. Ouch, But nice work Dr. Telling , it;s an art!
Enamel (the outer structure of the tooth) never grows back. This video illustrates the removal of caries lesions (destroyed tooth structure). The dentist still must place a composite (enamel like material) into the hole to fill it. I believe the only advantage of lasers at the moment is the lack of sound from the drill :-). Hope this helped
I want to become a doctor when I grow up, and I'm just curious, what does the laser itself do? Make the pulp or something like that to swell up and cover cavity or the tooth tissue grows back??? Because in the video, it looked like the missing bit of the tooth just grew back :D.
Pls pls pls lend me know what happens when you do the laser healing?????????????????????????????
Dr. Colonna is my dentist. My daughter and I both have had cavities fixed with the laser. It is quick and virtually painless. Costs a little more, but well worth it!
Well too bad but i dont live in America :S. I started with the threatments and it was a little bit more painfull. I had some infection in the root canal, which followed with infection removal and removal of the tooth nerv. I have fracture of the front teeths and today the first one was fixed.
And thats it? The tooth is being healed? I have very big problems with my teeth and i am so afraid of going to fix the problem. Im facing big pains and i still cant decide to go. If this is the way of laser teeth healing i will go at this moment
I'm sorry to hear about the pain, and I understand your concern and fear. PLEASE call our toll free number 1-888-333-8440, ext. 2050 and we will help you find a PowerLase laser dentist near you that can help.
ya i have EXTREMELY sensitive teeth and i was like you and was very scared to go when i went they had to drill my tooth and it was the worst pain i have ever felt in my entire life. It turns out that 1 of the reasons it hurt so bad was because i was so scared.

Is this any easier or harder than using a drill? does it cost extra? It involves a laser, so I'm geekily interested.

This is what a filling should look like not nasty black Amalgam, anything with mercury isn't good for you.
