  • JAPANESE ALWAYS produces inferior fighters, fact.

  • fuckin beast fight

  • very interesting fight and i do understand that the rules would give an advantage to karate. i would enjoy to see a fight between the two great martial arts in a more even footing.

  • I like kyokushin , I like TKD. I don't like Muay Thai.

  • did u guys know that putting ur 12 yr old child out there to fight like that is a bad thing? martial arts is not for u to be going out fighting people for entertainment. martial arts is taught so u can protect urself, not this. when ur going into competitions and tournaments then ur mind doesnt focus, it only cares about tournaments and competitions, not about all the other stuff martial art teaches u for example breathing, treating others, etc.

  • any of these kids can beat the shit out of me! ...and i´m about to hit the 19´s...lol. Sorry for my english

  • like the andy hug vs muay thai fight, the thai was out of his league. fights of any style vs style are flawed. you can't safely satisfy either crowd, so all you can have is compromises. if a fighter (or his promoter) agrees to fight in a different set of rules, then so be it. no whining about the outcome. well done to both these kids, it was really impressive. but this fight isn't "kk vs mt". it's just "one particular kk kid vs another mt kid in kk rules"

  • im a girl, 11, and im a red belt turning blue AND I CANT BELIEVE IVE BEEN IN A FULL CONTACT FIGHT!

  • @fr00gie100

    Congrats on your first fight.

But, you are a red belt turning blue? Doesn't red come after blue in the series?

  • @MynameisAbhaySoni not all styles have the belt colours in the same order. except for white being lowest and brown being highest directly under black, everything else varies.

  • @kolsyrade

Yeah I know that. But I don't know about any martial art where red comes before blue. In karate and other japanese arts red comes after 10thDan black belt(For other it is different. Like for Ninjutsu, it's after 20thDan I think). In Korean martial arts red comes before Black and after Blue. Don't know about Pencak Silat though.

  • @MynameisAbhaySoni Sir

When I trained in Kyokushin in Okinawa Ken under Mr. Shichinohe七戸先生 the Mudansha無段者(non Black Belt) Belt Ranking System was 10th Kyu十級 White Belt, 9th Kyu九級Orange Belt, 8th Kyu八級Orange Belt Red Strip, 7th Kyu七級Blue Belt, 6th Kyu 六級Blue Belt Orange Strip, 5th Kyu五級 Yellow Belt, 4th Kyu四級 Yellow Belt Orange Strip, 3rd Kyu三級 Green Belt, 2nd Kyu 二級 Green Belt Orange Strip, 1st Kyu一級 Brown Belt. Thank you for your time. Osu

  • @MynameisAbhaySoni in kyokushin red (or sometimes orange)comes after white and is followed by blue.

  • @kolsyrade

Yes, it might be orange. Because as far as I remember, the order is White-Yellow-Green-Orange-Blue-Purple-Brown-Black-Red.

  • @MynameisAbhaySoni

So you mean Kyokushin Karate is a form of Karate and not a sport?

Funny, because I used to play Kyokushin Karate and used to practice Shito Ryu...

  • OSU!!!!!!!

  • so is karate better then muay thai or only about the same

  • Anyone knows how this kid is doing now? It's going to be interesting to see him fight in Kickboxing, even though K1 is near broke now. I like Andy Hug, it's so sad to see his early death, after him there aren't so many Karate master who fight. Lyoto Machida is OK, but his prime's over.

  • OSU ! 5:27

  • @andrewasle he does kyokushin at a big kyokushin gym under a famous kyokushin fighter/instructor (seen as coach in this clip). He was all-japan junior kyokushin karate champion a few years before this clip (when he was 9/10y old), and has represented kyokushin numerous times. He has never done tkd.

I dont know how you can twist that into him doing tkd, and not kyokushin karate, but I am sure you will try.

  • @kolsyrade

He says that because he is Muay Thai. Muay Thai people have got a complex that they are the best martial art in the world. They like to abuse other arts and specially TKD. They do it specially if they are Thai. Thai people hate Koreans.

And they hate anyone who defeats Muay Thai. They would call the match fixed and all. Muay Thai fighter is not Thai.

he attempts to bring more haters towards this video by saying the kid is TKD.

  • @kolsyrade kyokushin are the elite of the martial arts !!! i do kyokushin and i have blck belt and 2 dan !!!!

  • @andrewasle this is not TKD because he got a kyokushin emblem ;/

  • @andrewasle its 100% Kyokushin !!!

  • @andrewasle actualy no he is from japan and does karate he might have moves from tkd but no

  • @andrewasle it says KYOKUSHINKAI on his gi. why do you say its tkd???

  • @andrewasle Se nota que no conoces de estilos. Ese chavo no hace nada de TKD, sus giros y patadas bajas, su guardia, sus técnicas lo delatan. Igual ya te habian contestado abajo.

  • @andrewasle nope he doesn't it's pure kyokushin. Don't think that Only TKD have kicks to the head, if he would doing tkd he would bouncing, keeping hand low and suck at this fight with his "Look at me" kicks.

  • @Thefighterspider

Hey! TKD might have some fancy looking kicks, but TKD isn't a loser. Those fancy kicks are only used to enhance the speed and thus the power of the kicks. You can try it for yourself. Do a roundhouse kick, then, spin around and do it. You will find more speed and hence more power in them. TKD moves are developed by keeping physics in mind. Every art is equal. No art is superior.

  • @andrewasle thats not even like TKD, TKD is 90% fancy kicks

  • @FredrikSahl WTF taekwondo isnt taekwondo. ITF is the real form with hand techniques.

  • @ThunderonCZ even in ITF there 80% kicks, and the hand strikes are bad, and thers no guard either, ive trained ITF for 3 years

  • @FredrikSahl i did it for 16 yrs and can agree with you entirely.Ie also trained and fought in europe and the states.

  • @andrewasle Then why is he wearing a Kyokushin Gi with Kyokushin kanji on it? Also, the fighting style looking nothing like TKD.

  • @andrewasle not everyone who does kicks trains tkd... im in shotokankarate and do kicks very often too...

  • Comment removed

  • @andrewasle You do relalize Taekwondo comes from Karate right? Im not talking about Korean arts, Im talking about purely TKD. The guy who created TKD learned Karate under many Japanese masters. Twist that. :) and yes I know Kyokoshin comes from a Korean guy who trained Japanese arts.

  • @ellimacliebtoznerol6

What the hell? TaeKwonDo comes from the Tekkyon. Korea banned Tekkyon while under Japanese rule (I am not sure abou that but it was banned). Then, it returned in the form of TaeKwonDo and Hapkido after independence. The standup and ground fighting got seperated. TKD was made to counter Karate.

Karate came along with Okinawan traders returning from China. They used it to defend against Japanese Samurais once Japan conquered Okinawa and no weapons were allowed for Okinawans.

  • @MynameisAbhaySoni Any link tkd &hapkido has to taekyon are dubious creations for national pride reason -at best. Fact is that the founders of the kwan´s that formed the beginning of tkd were karate or (in a few cases) kungfu practitioners.

TKD had already existed for decades with a known history, when the taekyon myth suddenly surfaced in the 80ies.

It is a nice story, but it is nationalistic propaganda.

Fact: tkd is based on karate that has since evolved.

    common knowledge

  • @kolsyrade tae kwon do is a mix of Karate and Taekyon

  • @kolsyrade OK. Thanks for the update. But, why are TKD moves designed to counter Karate moves?

  • @MynameisAbhaySoni TKD is not designed to counter karate moves. TKD is just altered karate with a much higher focus on kicks.

  • OSU!

  • Future real life Jin Kazama right there man! Osu!

  • i hate how when ever muay thai goes against a different fighting style they take away the clinch and strikes to the head in this case

  • Please stop trying to say karate is better than muay thai or any other dumb things. It all goes from person to person. Make that karate kid go to thailand, and fight a 12 year old they pick out instead of the opposite? It would end up thai kid would tear the karate kid a new hole. It's all about each an every fighter for himself. Trust me, it's hard to fight a fighter that's 100% close to your experience.

  • Am 10 and have a green belt 3 more grading and black :D

  • man the muay thai kid i dont think he knows what he is doing over there

  • i am 12 i got green belt karate :) btw omfg how u can have black belt at age 12 ftw?

  • @igo0di it can't be black belt ??

  • @igo0di I got my own Karate black belt at 13 years. With a few yaers of practice (4-6 years). People can do it. It's not about the belt colour. It's about how you can perform the art. I could beat other blacks when I was Blue or Purple. I'm not boasting or showing off. Just saying.

  • 2:16 does the guy on the right side looks like ryu narushima to anyone else?????

  • @broulys1729 He looks as much like Ryu Narushima as it is possible. To be exact, it IS Ryu Narushima, and he is the kids teacher.

  • Of course this Kyokushin Kid is a pretty good fighter i think its a little ...

dont know .I mean he is 12 and has got a black Belt!!!

    OSU from germany

  • @CreativeLemming99 There are black belts and there are MON (junior) black belts. To get it translated to a full fledged BB they need to to complimentary tests when they hit 18.

  • That kyokushin kid knows how to throw some good combos.

  • sugoiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii !

  • dont do this dont do that isnt it a bit unfair ?

  • I have respect for the muay thai kid just give em a four course meal.

  • when i was 11 years old i had a little bit more technique

  • @tyvonable

    ya right.

  • @tyvonable

yeah well i don't see you fighting in any shows, keyboard warrior.

  • @ThaiBettas thatd be true except i do train muay thai. not from thailand, but i understand the importance of elbows and especially the clinch. but elbows are not prohibited, like i said, karate fighters are better trained at keeping their distance which is why the thai fighter cant close the distance.

  • 1banryukyu

    "Fighting Black Kings"

the bulls... Kyukushin 10 part propaganda vdo. any more??

send me clips ,recent ones too.

    LOL. to see the bulls

  • @yimmiytube Sir

You can also google Seido Karate and Mr. Nakamura if you want more info. You can also go to Amazan.com or local bookstore to find more books on Kyokushin. Is it propaganda or is it self promotion maybe a little of both. I respect Muay Thai Boxing so I have no ax to grind with it. I do not speak ill of other arts, because I know that if there is only one person who gains something from it, it was worth something. Thank you for your time. Osu

  • kolsyrade you said Yes it is a form of propaganda

    why repost it.?

Kyukushin champ the best of japan against 'no name' fighter ,wow must be really proud.

    tv crews too.cheap aye?

  • @yimmiytube Sir

This was an open tournament which means any and everyone would come and fight. Yes, it was under Kyokushin's rules so everyone one had to wear a dogi (Japanese martial arts uniform), even the Muay Thai fighters and Kung Fu fighters. Kyokushin did not make anyone fight in the tournament, so the people that came thought they could win. Thank you for your time. Osu

  • I do a mixed style that has a focus on muay thai as well as somewhat informal training with a kyokushin dojo, so I can see both sides of this. While the kyokushin fighter definitely won this fight, the muai thai fighter couldn't use his clinch, elbows, knees, or head punches, which is obviously a huge disadvantage... however, the kyokushin dojo I train with also trains elbows and knees, so the kid here probably could have used them too. Imho though, in an all out fight, the styles are equal...

  • why does 11 year old have black belt , in my country i need to be 16 or 18

  • @13gamefan If he started when he was two or three, he could get one by that age.... he definitely has the technique of any black belt I know!

  • @Drakmor2 you know crap black belts! and @13gamefan wot about age 17? =P

  • @MrCherryfix yeah, I worded that badly. I mean that if he's this good at age 12, when he's as old, he's definitely comparable with the people I was talking about... sorry bout that :P

  • @13gamefan stfu, he fights better then most of your adults -_- his more then earnt it

  • @13gamefan

In my country, if you are over 11 years old, you need to have a Black belt to participate in any events grater than District level (inter school). If you are going to the states(inter district/ inter city), you need to have a black belt. Or they won't allow you to participate.

  • SHIT THEY DONT FIGHT LIKE 11 YR OLD

  • @MASTERPOPO0306 thats cuz they are 12 yr olds!

  • @MASTERPOPO0306 because they have discipline

  • what the hell kind of propaganda is this?

  • @SlaveOfAllah92 hmm.. im associated with kyokushin for 2 yrs, but was very irregular in the past.. .. so um tryn to concentrate more nwadays :) ...

  • @SlaveOfAllah92 .. thanx!.. i only train Kyokushin and learn Aikido during rramadan :)

  • @SlaveOfAllah92 Salam bro, why did u choose Kajukenbo over kyokushin?

  • @F91yzg

KaJuKenBo constitues everything from standing to ground fighting to weapons. It's full form is Karate Judo Kenpo Boxing. It's looks more lucrative than Karate. It's techniques are also really interesting. Like limb destruction and fighting against multiple attackers.

But then again, it's upon the person to select what one wants to do.

  • @MynameisAbhaySoni Interesting you bring Kajukenbo up. This past sunday I went to a knockdown karate tournament. In the middleweight championship fight, one of the guys knew Kajukenbo and he went up agaist a guy who knew Enshin. The Kajukenbo fighter got KOed by a head kick.

  • @FreekyDeeky21

I am not saying that if you know KaJuKenBo, you'll never lose or you'll never get knocked out. What I am saying is that it a more logical choice over Karate for STREET FIGHTING AND SELF DEFENCE. It covers everything from fighting multiple attackers to protection against weapons to using weapons and much more. Other the standup fighting which is found in Karate tournaments is same for Karate and KaJuKenBo as it's standup has Karate + Boxing. Judo if throws are allowed.

  • @MynameisAbhaySoni kyokushin traditionally uses the order white, orange (sometimes red is used instead of orange), blue yellow green, brown, black.

As I said,. the order changes from style to style.

  • @MynameisAbhaySoni I agree there is truth there Kajukenbo is a dangerous system to mess with. I had the opportunity of learning it while I was in Saipan for 2 years, I preffer it over Kravmaga. It definitely makes a distinction between sport and martial art combat application.

  • @FreekyDeeky21

    BTW, What is Enshin.

  • @MynameisAbhaySoni Enshin is a kyokushin offshot style (technically a offshot from ashihara karate that is a kyokushin offshot -but since the enshin founder was already famous before he and ashihara broke with kyokushin originally....).

Their version of knockdown karate (the sport rule system kyokushin created) allows for much more grab&throw with followup than the original kyokushin rules.

  • I think kyokushin is better than muay thai

  • when the adults cant win lets use the kid.

  • @yimmiytube Sir

In 1962 Mr. Tadashi Nakamura (then a 1st Degree Black Belt in Kyokushin Kai Karate) went to Thailand to fight the Muay Thai champion in Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. Mr. Nakamura won the fight by KO. In 1975 the 1st World Karate Tournament was held in Tokyo, Japan. No Muay Thai fighter got past the second round. You can see parts of that tournament here on Youtube (see Fighting Black Kings).Thank you for your time. Osu

  • Comment removed

  • @1banryukyu U R right No Muay Thai fighter got past the second round.

FYI Not so many thai take up karate then or now, thai karatekas were karatekas not Muaythai.

    dont get confused.

  • @yimmiytube Sir

Please look at the video again "Fighting Black Kings" or the 1st World Open Karate Tournament there were Muay Thai fighter (who were from Thailand who trained in Muay Thai Boxiing) who fought in that tournament. And yes, you are correct none of them got past the 2nd round of fights. I do not know of any Thai Karateka who fought for Thailand in that tournament. And it was a Muay Thai fighter (from Thailand) Mr. Nakamura KO'd back in 1962 fighting by Muay Thai rules. Osu

  • @yimmiytube Sorry dude you are confused. The Thais were Muay Thai stylists. Obvious to anyone who knows what they are looking at. If you are unable to recognise Muay Thai because the clothes are different then I supect your knowledge of both arts is limited.

  • @1banryukyu /watch?v=px1Ivctja4w . Thai people can say the same for Karate, that Karate master also lost to Muay Thai.

  • @1banryukyu sadly there'ren't any videos during that era, it's very nice era at that time. So many styles vs styles I think there are many politics going on that time also. The best conflict would be Karate-kickboxing VS Muay Thai, that one Japanese promoter claimed that Muay Thai is from Kickboxing, in the end there are fights and Muay Thai won all, then that Japanese was forced out of Thailand, or faced life imprisonment (The dictator ruled Thailand at that time)

  • @DrJinIchi actually 2 (Akio Fujihira won by punch ko,Kenji Kurosaki lost by stoppage after a elbow) of the 3 fight from the kyokushin vs muay thai challenge (The thais sent a open challenge to Japan and kyokushin guys accepted) are on youtube. only the fight by Tadashi Nakamura (who won by high kick KO) is still missing.

The Thais do not like to mention that challenge, but prefer to talk about the later challenges that the Thai´s won.

But 2 of the 3 fights are available on youtube.

  • @kolsyrade Sir

Thank you for posting your comment. Osu

  • @kolsyrade Can you send me the link? I believe I have seen it all, but you should also mention the later challenges that Thai won, I think I have to search some old books, there are writers who talked about Muay Thai VS Karate in that era, need to search anyway what level the Thai guys are. The Thai who lost is not the champion, same as the Thai who won is also not the champion. Never understand why there'ren't the highlight fight.

  • @kolsyrade OK I have finished researching, I will need to see the fight that Thai lost again, because according to Thai source, he lost by headbutt, round 3. The fight that Thai won is pretty clear, the japanese lost by elbows. Did Tadashi also fight in the first Karate VS Muay Thai? The only fight of him I remember is his KO lost against Samarn. What about Oyama? Why you left out his name? Wasn't he one of the three Karateka who came to Thailand. (gotta search about him more)

  • @kolsyrade OK seem like Oyama fight the black cobra? I understand the problem about Thai Vs Japan now. Black cobra is not that good fighter during that time, gotta search more to see if he's the raja champion or not. If he's not, there need to be change in wikipedia. But if Oyama is not the one who fight the black cobra, then it's ok.

  • @kolsyrade Hmm...I need to focus more, I might have mixed the first contact between Muay THai and Karate, and the war between Karate-kickboxing and Muay Thai. Need time to think...anyway it's pretty funny that Kyokyshin karate is not taught in Thailand. I think in Thailand there're Shotokan and what..? gojuryu? something like that.

  • @DrJinIchi Sir

My Kyokushin teacher told me that Mr. Oyama had respect for Muay Thai. As for Goju Ryu it is Okinawan and Shotokan was founded by Mr. Funakoshi who was born in the Ryukyu Okuni or the Ryukyu Kingdom what is know Okinawa (Ryukyu Kingdom 1372 BCE-1879 BCE). Thank you for your time. Osu

  • @kolsyrade Not so much info during that early era, most of the record is between Kickboxing (Japan+America) VS Muay Thai, pretty funny anyway. But I think it's really ridiculous that there's one missing clip in youtube.

  • @kolsyrade Damn...there'ren't really much of infomation in English or Thai. Japanese? well I am going to try.

  • @kolsyrade The arguments between Muay Thai and Kyokushin is so tiring, lol and Thai people haven't got many knowledge about it since there're no Kyokushin sensei in Thailand. One thing for sure is that Muay Thai has passed through hard time in last century, and each legend of each fighter already got forgotten, it's nice for Kyoukushin to have system.

  • @kolsyrade There are really no documents about the fights between Oyama and that Lumphini Champion. Truth?Liar? who said the truth who lied? We will never know.

  • @yimmiytube sweet dreams brother .. :)

  • fly all the way to thailand with tv crew against who unkwon kid.Kyukushin must be really proud.

  • why do all MT enthusiasts always say that the losing thai fighter cant be good because he didnt throw elbows? ive fought many thai fighters and they just cant close the distance to throw elbows or knees. the thai fighter is good, but karate styles train you to keep your distance and do more counterstriking

  • the thaiboxer would fuck him but the had to fight in karate rules

  • ous from mauritius

  • kyokushin boy is very good; more kicks, more movements,...

  • the thaiboxer is gay

  • @carlaverbrugge dude seriously hes a 12 year old kid man wtf

  • No B.S, but this is real good shit. You don't get this kind of quality stand of fight in the UFC. This is some good K-1 fighting.

  • Man that Kyokoshin kid has some sharp kicks!

  • I'm pretty sure it was Kyokushin rules. They called the Muay Thai practioner for catching the kick. Thai boxers game is the clinch he might use snappy kicks if his game revolves around tying the other guy up.

  • Was it just me or did that "Muay Thai" not look characteristically Muay Thai there was little clinch and knee no elbow's this can be explained by rule set but he didn't invest his body into the kicks the way thai kick boxers are taught too. They often looked more like snappy TKD kicks to me. This maybe because he douse not have the weight or hips of a adult Or maybe he was afraid of investing his positioning into his strikes.. Both where very talented for there age though.

  • @antonyneal

    kyokushin rules.

  • Amazing.. Karate kid did magnificent and I'm a muay Thai practictioner :D but my Khru always saids to commit to my shots, don't be afraid, if you get hit you get hit..that's what the muay Thai kid needs to get down.. I used to be like him until I learned how to just come in and not afraid of punches n kicks etc! But great fight! Thanks for the upload

  • The karate kid fucking wrecked!

  • the karate fighter is awesome. he has learned from exp with sanda.

  • not taking anything away from d karate kid,hes very talented and well done to him. but these kind of videos really piss me off! d rules of this fight is limiting d thai kids skills! if d thai kid was aloud punch, knee, elbow and clinch as well as just kick. d karate kid wouldnt stand a chance!

  • @grehan19

i think he's aloud to do all those moves. He's wearing pads and I've also seen him try to throw some punches but the karate kid kept his distance so the punches either missed or were blocked

  • holy shit, imagine when that kid is an adult 0_o i wish i had started when i was so young!

  • both talented young boys, well done to both :)

  • The second coming of Mas Oyama.

  • nicee Karate Kyokushin... OSU

  • thanks for the upload, that was nice

  • Mas Oyama used to say that during the first stages of life one most focus in becoming as strong as possible.

  • these kids are talented

  • that karate kid is a promise for kyokushin. Man, you can feel the spirit of karate behind every hit. that do mawashi kaiken geri at 5:28 its impressive.
