why betas are cooler than the game itself?

In my opinion, I think I would have liked the beta version of Round 2 (after the level design was fixed) than the final. I think Joe Musashi would have sneak into a the enemy's base instead of easily riding a horse there. Also, the only enemy I would eliminate would be the tigers. The buff cyborgs with the extendable arms and the hovering soldiers could have worked in the final. Also, what is up with the the beta boss!?
