X-Play, Web Soup, Wacked out Videos, It's Effin Science, and parts of Attack of the Show are the only things I watch on G4. X-Play is my favorite, It's just as good as the TechTV days in my opinion. If Attack of the Show was a little more like The Screen Savers, maybe G4 would get more viewers. I miss Call for Help, it was awesome.

i miss old g4 in general. back when they had portal (does anyone else remember portal?), cory rouse was hosting cheat, filter was still around, cinematech aired in the middle of the day, they didn't have cops on all the time and xplay still had the old set. the day they switched cory out for that one lady was the day g4 started it's decline.

X-Play is a really strange show to watch. Sessler & Webb look really odd standing next to one another. Compared to a limp-wristed, concave-chested pussy stain like Adam Sessler, Morgan Webb looks really broad shouldered and manish. The only time I've ever seen or heard of hate for G4 was because of how they've changed thier shows. They used to show stuff like Machinima on T.V., Battle Bots, etc. Twas awsome

I remember Extended Play. Adam started out as a CG host called Dash in that show. Thank goodness they got rid of Dash because the reviews were way oo serious back then. But with Adam, he can have fun as the host which is pretty cool. And when X-play started, it introduced us to Morgan Webb. I like her looks in those days, where she was nerdy and cute. This show has good memories for me.
WRONG! Gamespot TV was first, adam had BIG spiky hair, THEN came Extended Play with TWO hosts, then Adam again, then Xplay with Morgan, then a new set Xplay, then another new set xplay, now the new and improved X-play.
I still love you guys. So long as I have Adam and Morgan, I'll be watching. Even if it's just them watching paint dry, or playing crappy game demos. Because I don't know which is worse. But I still love them!

The new one is still good but I can't help missing my old X-Play. I mean the new reviews arn't as entertaining as they used to be, they're arn't any flapping heads anymore and we'll never see segments like the Splinter Cell Steve and Bob ones.
You're right. X-Play isn't as funny as it used to be. However, the new stuff they have: demos, reviews, more new stuff, more than makes up for it. It isn't as funny, but it's much more fresh and entertaining. Even the reruns are worth watching.
In my opinion, I think x-play was better way back when. I don't like the new set/show as much. It's still good, but just not as funny as the old show.
i am proud to say that i have been there from the beging and have seen all, but now i don't have satalite so honestly i am missing a very important part of my life.
G4 is trying to cut the style of Adult Swim, but with video game coverage - albeit a small amount - into their programming.

I can understand why G4 receives criticism from time to time. But why the hate? Few outlets think outside of the box the way G4 does.

The only time I've ever seen or heard of hate for G4 was because of how they've changed thier shows. They used to show stuff like Machinima on T.V., Battle Bots, etc. Twas awsome
Now they have stuff like Ninja Warrior, which is ok I guess, but when I do watch G4 and Ninja warrior is on, it's the ONLY show on for several hours. But even that isn't enough to make me hate the channel.
*Shrug* maybe some people are just misslead by the name of the channel, G4, Naming the Game Television part.

i do like/hate the new xplay its definalty taken a step up to gaming reviews but i do miss some of the funny sketchs and reviews that previous seasons has given us like the Naked Raiden and also the funny announcer guy. But G4 Tech TV has is changing it used to be all about gaming and gadgets now it has probaly a couple of shows that stays true and the rest shouldn't be there like Cops and Cheaters. By the way anyone see that new show coming up called "hurl"? Looks stupid.

Seriously, where did the funny announcer guy go? that guy was awesome! I mean sure X-play focuses on rating the games more but I can get game ratings from anywhere, the funny sketches, mock game characters, and that sort of rivalry that Adam and Morgan used to have really used to make my day, now it just seems all so hollow and empty...i kinda hate it.

You know, I find the new X-play is much too serious. Before it was just a total joke, I took none of their reviews seriously. Then it was alright, less jokes, more proper reviews, only jokes on really bad games. Then it become 100% proper reviews. But now it's all GAMING UPDATE! GAMING NEWS! Oh, and maybe we will do one review. You know when he is actually serious I really respect Adam, he knows what he is talking about, and I would prefer to hear him talk about the games.

I remember Extended Play. Adam started out as a CG host called Dash in that show. Thank goodness they got rid of Dash because the reviews were way oo serious back then. But with Adam, he can have fun as the host which is pretty cool. And when X-play started, it introduced us to Morgan Webb. I like her looks in those days, where she was nerdy and cute. This show has good memories for me.

The new one is still good but I can't help missing my old X-Play. I mean the new reviews arn't as entertaining as they used to be, they're arn't any flapping heads anymore and we'll never see segments like the Splinter Cell Steve and Bob ones.

You're right. X-Play isn't as funny as it used to be. However, the new stuff they have: demos, reviews, more new stuff, more than makes up for it. It isn't as funny, but it's much more fresh and entertaining. Even the reruns are worth watching.
