  • i want to ask you if the gibson sg 61 ressuie is better than the standards?

  • not bad man. U should learn how to play "Beating Around The Bush" and post it. That song kicks ass, keep jammin man!

  • good man

  • are you doing this in standard tuning?

    just wondering

  • @GramKrakerJG No, it is tuned half step up.

  • @MBString just use a capo on the first fret, no trouble tuning i do it

  • @MBString why didnt u just capo at the first fret?

  • @MBString In F or Eb? (sorry, I don't know what means "step up" =/)

  • @Afonso027 It's in F ;) No problem

  • @MBString thank you so much

    Keep rockin' \m/

  • @GramKrakerJG This song has to be tuned up 1/2 step to Bb, because that is the key bagpipes are in.

  • Yup. Hard to stand still while listening to this song (or almost any ACDC song!). Especially when jammin' along.

That's a nice guitar with a great sound. What year is it? Custom shop? A couple of weeks ago i decided my good ole trusty Epi LP needed a big brother. A HC red Gibson SG standard. Didn't bought it, though. I was disappointed at the overall finish of the guitar. I expected more for that kind of money. Also it appeared almost orange instead of red.

  • @epicsr It's a standard gibson sg 2005. The most difference you'll find between epi and a gibson is in the feel, and playing and also richer sound. I know my sg is very smooth, feels great in the hand and it plays like butter. But i believe not every gibson guitar is worth their money, the quality varies on some guitar. So you have to have a bit of luck when buying it but in general you can't go wrong with a gibson guitar in my opinion.

  • @MBString Thanx man. Guess i'll be scoopin' around again soon... Better make sure to sift through the lesser ones. One last question though, from what year on did Gibson change the neck profile? I want to make sure i have the correct, slim (50's?) type neck. Not too many guitarstores have SG's here in the Holland lands, so making a decision can be a bit difficult.

  • @epicsr Well i don't know exactly when they changed the neck profile to be honest , my sg has a rather fat neck like all sg standards since 80's i think. But as far as i know the sg 61 reissue models have very slim neck.

  • @MBString Figures... That's the more expensive one, darn it.

Really? So they pretty much all have a larger type neck?

Thanx anyways. I'll be subscribing to your channel.

  • The song sounds great, congratulations, seems to be angus :D!

and the solo at the end is brilliant, have you got the tab? :)

  • @zakarias3 Thanks, don't have the tabs unfortunately, actually i hate writing tabs, it's very time consuming in my case;D It's more a lick than a solo :D I added it at the end to spice it up, it's nothing complicated it's based on a very common lick in angus solos.

  • @MBString so it's great :)!

  • nice keep it up

  • a waste of a gibson...

  • Sometimes less is more. Thank you for skipping the jackassery and playing the song right :)

  • oooooo cann i have the enter text thingo saying * Gibson SG for life* and then quoted ? :P

  • Nice ;) Good job. Btw is it a epiphone sg G-400 ?

  • info says its a gibson sg standard.

  • dude you rock

  • wat tuning is this?

  • i put a capo on the1st frett. that sounds about right

  • this song really looks like high voltage

  • nice angus moves you got there ;)

  • i thought standard had single coils

  • whats the difference between an epi sg and a gibson sg

  • quality is the difference

  • Gibsons are much more solid feeling, the neck profile is different, Gibsons sound better, and they are made in the US. Take it from someone who really knows, I own both of 'em :)

  • sweet man can you play its a long way to the top or any other AC/DC song

  • not long way to the top. i want to, but i cant find out the proper tuning. i do play a few songs (with the solos): highway to hell, back in black, dirty deeds done dirt cheap, rock n roll train, hell aint a bad place to be, if you want blood, and shook me all night long

  • nice do u have any vids on youtube of hell aint a bad place to be or highway to hell

  • i wish i did but i cant find a good way to record my sound. it sounds great when i use my BD-2 going through my fender amp, but my camcorder doesnt record the sound well. maybe friday night though, im doing a little show for my family and friends after thanksgiving.

  • price and quality

  • the price , the wood quality , the electronics quality and also gibson is all handmade

  • err''''''''''' they are not hand made''' take a look at the gibson factory video

  • everything...

  • im just wondering wat amp your using to get that great tone because im getting a marshall half stack and im wondering if thats wat you are using please reply thanks

    Zach

  • I am using marshall jcm900 4102, not half stack but combo 2x12" speakers.

  • great playin

  • Good job !

  • im pretty goood at this song on guitar

  • Love it, 5*

  • Great Tone , Playing, Guitar : like every time!

  • you rock

  • This is incredible !Perfect. Thanks for this video.

  • My God, that guitar is beautiful. And nice game, man, 5/5.

  • cool dude u rock just like angus, great tone, great guitar, great style, keep on rocking

  • Is that an Epiphone Sg-400 ? it's look like it! Grate cover!

  • SuperCakeHatMan its a Gibson sg

  • Seriously dude , this sounds EXACTLY like Angus :D Please tell me your settings :)

And can you send me a tab on how to play the thing in the begining angus plays ?

  • Thank you very much!! Gear is described in movie info

    Amp settings:

    Treble and Middle : 5,5/10

    Bass: 8/10

Presence: 0-2/10 depending on the song

    Gain: 3-4/10

Master volume: 4,5/10 on the 50W mode.

I am not good at writing tabs so i will just tell you. First you play the C note(3th fret on the A string) and then hammer on on the D note(5th fret on the A string) and after that you strike two notes at a time(D note(5th fret on the A string) and a G(fifth fret on the D string)and then A chord.

  • B-E-Autiful guitar... oya and ur playing was good

  • YEAH YOU VERY GOOD !!!!!!!!

  • How did you tune to the recording? Because when they transfered recordings in the studio, the playback was a fraction of a second fast, and the pitch is different. did u just tune to the recording?

  • good talent!

  • u rock

  • great band

    great song

    great guitar

    great playing!

  • fantastic! good work :P

  • Great cover!!!!!!

    5 stars!!

  • brilliant what sg is that mate?

  • I wrote that in the video description(click more info>>right from the video)

  • @redfenderguy its either a 96 or an 03 hard to tell the difference between the two-

the newer sg's have their pickguard coming up and around the pickups not just at the bottom like older sg's

  • that was great!

nice guitar to, i the same one

  • cool but would be better if you done the cool intro riff

  • personally, he should make two clips: one of Angus' part and another for Malcolms part

  • don't be stupid, it would almost be the same

  • its oke but it van be better...

  • This is a great cover and I like that you even keep time like Angus by alternating your heel taps....

  • great

  • Awesome cover man. Good job :D

  • a great cover...

    lots of passion...

    a really crunchy sound..

    and there you have it!!

    well done man!!

  • Ups, i ment amp not map ;P

  • yeah it sounds great, thats alright, im in the uk anyway. lol. i played a friends jcm half stack and it was incredible but the amp head alone is about £1200! keep up the good work!

  • thats a great tone, i was thinking of getting a jcm, how much was yours?

  • i got it second hand for about 550€, i don't know how much is this in usd$ exactly. It's really not a lot of money for such a great map like this.

  • its a great cover

  • it would be awesome if you could get someone with the backpipes but the solo is damn cool

  • B-E-A-Utiful guitar

  • are you in standard tuning

  • no, it's one semitone up : from EADGBe to F A# D# G# C f

  • yor timings a lil screwd up at 2:20

  • Nice

    Awesome guitar man !!

  • Great Guitar you have there ,SG my fav.Keep up the vids dude ,love seeing them.

  • muy bueno!

  • you play REALLY good! all thumbs available up mate

  • hahaha thats on school of rock

  • great job, nice looking SG.

  • RESPECT!!! :D

  • how long have u been playing?

  • abot 5 years and a half i think, but electric guitar for the last three years.

  • Did you tune your strings the way they tell u in the Tab books?

  • he didnt use tab books:P

  • WOW! NICE SG! and perfect cover!

    I love your acdc videos.

  • WOAH nice SG. is that a real gibson or is it epiphone?

  • Gibson

  • Did you tune your guitar to 451 to match the bagpipes?

  • cool

  • great man i though this song would be hard but you made it look easy thanks alot

  • Great cover, do you think you could write the tabs?

Do you think Angus tuned down to match the bagpipes?

  • If you would listen to original recording and if you would know how to play the guitar, you would know it's not fake.

  • your an idiot....the recording that he is playing to is the rhythm...hes playing the lead. god damit your stupid.

  • dude...hes really playing this..hes got the perfect tone..so it might be hard to tell..

  • ok i did not mean to put that comment ignore it

  • Great! 5 stars :)

  • this isn't fake he's just really really good at the guitar

  • which part are you covering? Angus or Malcome... i can never find out which part is which

  • Angus part mainly.

  • u seriously think this is fake?

  • calm down guys he probably has a dick in his ear

  • yd sum1 put a fake vid, the fun of amkin one is playin

  • your just sad that you cant play like this guy

  • What exactly is the point of playing the correct notes (which this guy obviously does) and then fake the video?

  • this is really good! fantastic powerful sound... 5*

  • what are ayour amp settings

  • jilipollas si no tocas

  • That was great!! The best cover of "It's a Long Way" that I have seen on youtube!!

    Rock On!!

    ;D

  • e flat??

  • When I clicked on this video I supposed some bulshit with bad quality, but man...that was pretty nice. 4 * from me. :)

  • pretty good. could someone please send me tabs for this song???

    thanks

  • standard or e flat tuning?

  • None of those, it's F tuning. It's uptuned for half step.

  • Some people prefer SG over LP... It's true. I do. I wanna have a sg standard too =)

  • Yeah. I prefer Les Paul, but I LOVE my SG to death.

  • that's probably the most stupid statement i've ever read.

  • that is awsome!! is the gitar a gibson sg ?

  • Yes

  • Dude that's mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how much is your guitar? thinking about saving up to buy one.. they look soooo hot..

  • nice guitar, nice song and nice cover

  • i love you`r fingering technique and also how you move

    just like angus ;)

  • dude as i watched this vid, i noticed a little something that started to get annoyed and first i must say it wasnt your guitar playing coz that was awesome man. what i wanted to say was, you were trying to keep the beat of the drums by stomping your feet like angus would do but dude you cant do it right, and it really does get annoying, you kept losing rhythm with your legs and then stomping your feet in time with the noted you were playing instead with the drum beat!

  • you and jun626 are my fav unsigned guitarists

  • Thanks! I appreciate it! ;D

  • The elements you added to the music are great and remind me of "Bad boy boogie" :D

You're geat, don't stop playing man, I can hear a good feeling in your way of playing, just as Angus has!

  • Thank you very much;)

  • actually epi and gibson are really the same thing pretty much cuz when les paul, the guy, was making his guitar he used epi parts

  • that was back when gibson and epiphone were seperate copanies and gibson rejected les pauls first designs

  • Epiphone G400 ain't bad but.. why paying 300 euros for an epi when you can pay 550 and buy a Gibson sg special faded, which has a sound pretty pretty pretty close to the standard one? BTW, great job there man!

  • what tuning is this, is it higher then standards E?

  • Yes, it's tuned up for half a step. Low E string to F, so it's F A# D# G# C F

  • Why cant i just play everything up one fret with the guitar tuned normally?

  • because tuning up is alot easier

  • your really good!

  • This is great man, strong rhytmn and really good work on the solo, you rock :-) 5*

  • Do you like Epiphone G-400's? I felt funny saying I couldn't wait for mine when you clearly play Gibson's. Are you alright with G-400's?

  • I don't know actually, i've never played them yet, but many people says they are pretty good guitars and probably the best copies of gibson.

  • Epiphones are okay but if I were you I would pay the extra to buy a gibson.

  • gibsons r better, but if u cant afford one an epiphone is your best bet, im probably getting an epihpone les paul standard cos i aint paying 10x the price for a gibson one lmao

  • yeah I have a epiphone vintage G-400 it was okay at first but now that im getting better the tone isn't right for me its to muddy so i replaced the bridge pickup with an angus young signature im still waiting for it to get out of the shop.

  • cool, i really dont wna meddle around with my guitar and changiing pick ups so atm i just have an ibanez because there really good straight from the shelf, strings might need a change but apart from that its really good, i love the tone i get from the neck pickup :)

  • Awesome tone! 5* gj on solos too!

    Simen

  • Aww man your tone is incredible. And you can tear it up!

  • HOLAAAAA +5 ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
