thats stupid. you don't need ANY products (anyway alot of products contain alcool and other ingredients which dries out the hair; personnally i NEVER use products in my hair, i only use organic shampoo and conditionner) If you really want your hair to be healthy; cut your hair often, wear a hat in the sun, don't put products in your hair and brush your hair only ONCE a day) you will see your hair will be beautiful and healthy and shiny..u dont need PRODUCTS FULL OF CHEMICALS.

I'm not sure, but it might have something to do with the pigmentation in hair. For example, my sister's hair has become almost a brown colour while mine is still very close to black, but I've always had stronger hair than her.

I think it's also to try and prevent going bald earlier in life.
