Mate, seriously, if you arn't already & if you would want to, get your yerself into the model units in the film industry. That is a BEEEEUATIFUL work of art there. Even the straw stable detailing is really spot on. My pleasure to see it sir, thankyou for sharing :)
Awsome! on the picture for the vidio i thought it was real i would have thought it was if i hadnt seen your hand. it was fantastic when you took the roof of! you are a genius!!!!
Haven't noticed that yet, even on the test pieces out in the garage (temperature changes from -30c to +40c, high and low humidity, and getting kicked around (for some close to 7 years.)
I don't know about the regular brands of white glue. I always use Weldbond (developed for NASA, eh.)
Nice!!!! I am making a bridge in my technology class using framework method. Oh i didnt see the first few but do u use the XACTO razor saws and miterbox? If you dont, they r really nice when cutting angles exact!!
Yes the razor saws are great. I have several different ones (teeth count and blade height)
One of the mitre boxes too.
For those who don't already (tip: cut a small board to fit inside on the bottom of the mitre box. Saves from dulling the teeth and makes it easier to cut through thin stock and mark/measure cutting multiple pieces the same length)
Template for the post and beams are in the description of parts one and two.
Just need a good handful of coffee stir sticks, 1/4" wood pieces (wood chopsticks maybe?), and white glue.
The shingles you could use cereal box cardboard and coat with a thin plaster using a stiff brush ...uh, maybe I'll just do another vid. It's easier than typin'.
Yes, I've always used an old plate as my paint pallet.
They are cheap, it contains quick washes for you, large amounts of paint and glue for big projects, gives a nice wiping surface for drybrushing, and it is easy to clean.
HI THARE like the new begining the paint and wight glew good ideer a why no barn red ??? its TRADICSHION !! ( taba fiter on the ruth ) and hexs sight big in PA amish well thanks WKJR

DUDE! I swear I saw a possum run out of the corner of the barn when you pulled of the ruff! Man that looks so real. Great job.

That's really cool Steve. =)
Your stuff is useful for movies and commercials, you know?
Shooting it, a little additions in the computer like flying birds, clouds and a landscape in the background. And im sure it will look so real. ;)

Lol. Careful with showing people the finished product using natural light as a backdrop, you might get accused of photoshoping a video again haha.
In all honestly, every single piece you make amazes me, outrageous work again.

Sorry for replying to my own comment, but I was watching this again and had a quick question.
I noticed you said the longer it dries the harder it gets, is it possible for the glue to get too dry and become brittle and crack really easily?

yeah im sure i could make something that resembles it if i followed the vids, but i doubt mine would come out like yours, yours is ACE.
i might give it a go one day when i have space, its always good to try something new, and ive never done a barn before lol
