Ganga will not vanish as long as Himalayan mountains are there. In summer, Tibetian plateau heats up and creates low pressure area which sucks the rain clouds created on Indian Ocean. Those clouds don't reach Tibet, but blocked by Himalayan mountains & gets rain/snow there. As long as this cycle repeats, Ganga will be there.
