You're looking over the simple things. Sure lineman don't win games either, but they are still some of the most essential players on the field. Fullbacks can bust through the line while a 190 pound scatback has no chance. You don't see other championship teams throwing the ball from the shotgun off the 1 yard line, they use their big offensive line (which mizzou has) to push the ball in there

I totally disagree. OU's defence just played great in the Big 12 champ. game. Missouri had the most prolific offence in the nation last year. One game out of 14 we dident score over 30 points. That alone should quell any questions about our offensive coordination. Also, the o-line runs a zone blocking scheme, not a block-gap scheme that a straight running fullback needs. Pinkel has gotten the team here by having his shit together.
In affect, hiking the ball from the shotgun makes you five yards further from the endzone when otherwise you maybe only needed two yards. Now you need 6 or seven yards. That's just rediculous to me. That's not how a championship team gets it into the endzone sorry

You're looking over the simple things. Sure lineman don't win games either, but they are still some of the most essential players on the field. Fullbacks can bust through the line while a 190 pound scatback has no chance. You don't see other championship teams throwing the ball from the shotgun off the 1 yard line, they use their big offensive line (which mizzou has) to push the ball in there

It's not that fact that Pinkel is a bad coach, but there is definitely an offensive coordinating problem. It would be much easier if Mizzou actually had a fullback to hand it off to to just push it into the endzone. But seriously you need a direct snap when you're on the 1 yard line, none of this shotgun bullshit. Thats why Missouri couldn't put it in the end zone against OU. All I can say is get a damn fullback for gods sake

I totally disagree. OU's defence just played great in the Big 12 champ. game. Missouri had the most prolific offence in the nation last year. One game out of 14 we dident score over 30 points. That alone should quell any questions about our offensive coordination. Also, the o-line runs a zone blocking scheme, not a block-gap scheme that a straight running fullback needs. Pinkel has gotten the team here by having his shit together.

In affect, hiking the ball from the shotgun makes you five yards further from the endzone when otherwise you maybe only needed two yards. Now you need 6 or seven yards. That's just rediculous to me. That's not how a championship team gets it into the endzone sorry

Again, Mizzou only had a problem scoring in ONE game last year, and we dident have a fullback then. We wont have a fullback as long as we run this version of the spread option. While that may be rediculous to you, thats how it is. Having Chase Coffman in the back of the endzone catching a pass from Chase Daniel might as well be as good as having a fullback. Ironicly, we dident have Chase Coffman in the 07' Big 12 CG, nor did our defence succeed in stoping OK's ground game. We dont need fullbacks

you realize we were winning 21-0? We went into prevent defense which was our only mistake of the game. We would have won 35-0 if we would have kept up the pressure on D. Kansas is the most overrated team in the NCAA. I bet they win 8 games in 2008 at best.

Mizzou got screwed, plain and simple. Just like Boise State last year and Hawaii this year. Every year, there is at least one team that gets screwed. Get a clue, and make a playoff. First off, next year is a different season. It holds no weight in regard to what happened last night. And what happened was that KU were owned by a better team. Next year they might not be. Next year KU might be awesome. This year, they were not, and it was a glorious thing to watch, no matter what happens over the next 6 weeks. MU were not lucky, they were dominant, and if you want evidence of that, look at the scoreboard, the QB ratings, and the divot on Reesing's face at the end.
