I have a few questions sorry if they sound stupid I'm just a kid. Like what is copyright? I know it's a law and all but like..how do you get music without copyright? Are you aloud to like say "oh this song is ___ by ___" would that still be copyright? Where can I get music from bands who don't care if u use it? I'm confused. Please help

@harrisonh2001 It can take less than a week or never happen at all, but it almost always ranges from 6-24 months. The best way to become one is to just keep making videos and be patient. You generally need at LEAST 10-15 videos, a few thousand views per video (less if you have more videos), 700-1000 subscribers, and I'd recommend you upload an average of at least 10 minutes of your own content per month, excluding when you're on vacation or taking a short break.

to everyone asking about subs, the subs do NOT matter...there have been partners accepted with less than 50 subs. It's ALL about UPLOAD VIEWS...channel views really aren't that important either. The upload video views is IMPORTANT!!! The higher the better.

(video views) And also, what if you apply like I did with only 25,000 video views and by the time youtube gets to your application you have maybe 75,000 video views?
