  • Cool movie, everything was set up perfectly. I enjoyed it as I watched at Free Movie Zone . n e t

  • Google is the most democratized business and innovative technology company among their league. It will be interesting to watch how Google will succeed in making community based solutions to work for enterprises. If they can do it, they will wipe out many enterprise software vendors.

  • PRIVACY! If these servers get into the wrong hands or greedy hands..

Sensitive information should not be shared with servers, it needs to be processed on computers that you own, thus making it less likely that other people or computers can or have the right to see it. As I type here and there my "google profile" starts to resemble my thoughts, wants and interests, and in some cases my whereabouts. Alternative, more computing power per device and not centralized power.

  • Nice presentation! Respect Google!

  • Yes Flash Games working, I have been waiting for that forever!!!

  • I love Google more than anyone but that fuck nut was the guy who said "if you don't want someone to know your doing something you shouldn't really be doing it" which doesn't take my liking at all. Other than that Google Rocks I love you!

  • Google Captions:

"we come up with sad light and phrases"

  • Interesting lecture, but i think he's wrong about the part when he says IPv6 gives us enough ip's for the future.

Anybody remembering Bill Gates telling us back in '81 that 640K ought to be enough for anybody.

Let's see if your right in the year 2039, Eric :-)

  • @14skillz IPv6 uses 128-bit address, which gives us 2^128 (=3.4 x 10^38) addresses. Even if each person had millions of internet-connected devices, most of IPv6 address space will remain unused.

  • let's see if he's right in about 29years

  • I think IPv6 would be enough. if not, IPv8 would always come in research and would be release when the need arrives. even if each person has a smartphone in the world, we can always mask IP address to give us more address. so lets say we do to IPv6 what we do to IPv4 now, that's 3.4 x 10^38 + the number of address we can get by masking these IP addresses.

  • Of course we can always fix the problem with the next generation ip solutions, i'm sure of that. Just like we did with the 640k problem back in 1981.

I was wondering if we can compare Eric's quote from yesterday to Bill's epic quote failure from 1981 "that 640k ought to be enough for everybody" :-)

  • You clearly don't know what you are talking about. The need for additional IP addresses don't grow with the increased complexity of applications as in the case of RAM. As xtenpeben points out, IPV6 is enough for 10^38 addresses. Put 1 trillion people in each star in the universe (10^12 * ~10^24) and they can't use all addresses offered by IPV6.

  • Man I hate it when you have to do a presentation and someone superglues some sunglasses to your forehead.

  • still looked much cooler than a sweaty forehead :)

  • lmao

  • Pretty impressive stuff.

  • Search by voice don't look so tempting to me. There's few reasons which I can think of when I would actually use it instead of typing. And all of those reasons would never occur, atleast not in my case.
