This is a smear campaign attempt. What they mean is that in 5 years we'll be well along the normal 2%+ economic growth. Yes, there're minor fluctuations around the long-term growth trend but you aren't going back to the pre-industrial era if a few insolvent banks fail. Companies had irresponsible risk-management policies and over-leveraged themselves and fail. But economy is much, much bigger than a few financial institutions.Nowhere near Great Depression with 25% unemployment.
