Superman III Fire Scene

I would love to know how they did the scene where he changes in the car. You'd think it would be two seperate scenes but the people standing near the car, and the reflections of explosions, are seemless. A great scene, full of mystery lol

This is the best scene in Superman 3. Lester was great when he wanted to be.

@QuelDr0ma that wouldn´t stop the fire, it would reach the acid again and Superman would have to freeze it again. He put out the fire and stopped the acid from overheating all at once.

I remember my expectations shrank when I saw the lame movie poster. What I experianced was an *EPIC* letdown and a landmark of franchise-destroying bad moviemaking. Bad effects, bad acting, bad script...Superman was almost a bystander in a Richard Pryor movie. *ANY* episode of Superman TAS is 10 times better than this Godaweful mess.

Somehow I don't think that giant frozen lake would melt that quickly on the way down. I think huge chunks of ice would crush everyone and the building.

As big a fan as I am of the Superman movies, due to watching them all when I was growing up, I must say it breaks my heart seeing the obvious wire-work in most of this film and IV: The Quest For Peace. It's not as noticable in this clip, but on a DVD you really can see it. . .

That crushed me =/ I really think they should of made more effort on making the wires less noticeable.

A kick-ass film this one, never the less.

Actually, you couldnt see the wires in the films in their original releases. The DVD transfers have caused the wires to reappear in 3 most noticably

Hi, I read a while ago that they bleached out the sky in the original release so the wires disappeared. For some reason when the DVD came out they'd put the sky back in so the wires show up again. Pretty sure that's what happened anyway.

Well, Jimmy Olsen was quite the dumb ass for getting way to up close and personal just to get pictures of the fires! Anyways, I wish we would have Superman around today to keep this entire planet safe! One of my own favorite scenes in this movie! Thank you my friend! :)

Yea, altering the phsyics of the for 5 minutes of extra movie, was cheap. Why freeze a half mile lake, when you could have freeze-breathed, the fire out yourself.

I love the concentration on Supe's face as he flies back with the ice chunk. Reeve was at his best in this film.... I just wish the storyline was a little better. All in all tho, I still like S3.
