  • @MrSmashKab Too true. Most of YouTube seems to be about how offensive you can make a comment whilst not leaving any constructive remarks. Luckily, people have mostly been great to me, considering how sloppy my playing was then (and even now!). Strongly considering removing my weaker videos like this and leaving only the better ones... Oh and by the way mate, your china cymbal appears to be upside down ;)

  • I think your vids a bit out of sync. other then that it's pretty solid, minus a few fills.

  • @MrSmashKab Unfortunately, I think the "sync" issue is purely down to my poor timing. I reckon I've improved and loosened up since then but still got loads to work on.

Thanks for the positivity though - appreciate it.

  • @Zer0MT :D constructive criticism. if only youtubers had more of it.. Oh yeah and less of those kids who keep telling me my china cymbal is upside down. -_- lol

  • @pacman491 Yeah he kinda pulled off a *slightly* cleaner and tighter performance than this guy's half-assed, strained attempt.

  • I made the mistake of watching jimmydrums cover before this video hehe

  • Man u make it look easy. great job

  • @awesomexBATHROOM Thanks! Looking back, I'm very tense and stiff in these older videos but always trying to improve and get better. That's what it's all about =)

  • thanks for that and by the way excellent job on the cover it would be good if you did some disturbed songs if you havnt already

  • @funnytime7911 You're welcome, and thanks a lot!

  • thanks for that and by the way excellent job on the cover it would be good if you did some disturbed songs if you havnt already

  • does anyone know how to play tabs if you do i would like it if you told me what all the things meant

  • @funnytime7911 I personally don't like drum tabs and get on much better with traditional drum notation on a stave (the 5 lines/4 spaces that you see most music written on).

It's pretty simple, as long as you do your homework on learning note values and rhythms. For example, 1/2 notes, 1/4 notes, 8th notes, 16th notes, 8th note triplets, 16th note triplets, and so on. If you don't grasp this FIRST, drum notation will be pretty pointless for you, as you won't understand the rhythms.

  • toxicity is from 2001

  • @ruffryder135 You need to do a little research. It came out in '02. I know because I bought it near it's release date.

  • @xoliciabunnie august 2001 bro. End of discussion.

  • nice cover.... i dont know what these assholes are saying "out of sync"

    works perfectly on my pc.

  • @TheseYeahThese Hahaha awesome, good to know. Timing's still an issue but I'm improving...slowly. Thanks for that.

  • Pretty good cover, a shame that the video (at least for my) is out of sync! Can you fix that?

  • @elchafa If it's as much as 1-2 seconds out of sync, it could be an internet connection issue. Sometimes YouTube can be like that as they're pretty busy servers.

More likely though it's just my dodgy drumming haha. Can't blame the internet for my poor time-keeping ;)

Thank you for the kind words, appreciate it!

  • Wow.....this is pretty awesome

  • @Sxeybodygirlz Nice one, cheers.

  • Hey dude that sounds awesome! I've watched some others and by far yours is the best keep it up bro and keep rockin SOAD.

  • @hurleychild04 Wow, thanks for the kind words, means a lot! Cheers!

  • awesome cover!

im still trying to get that weirdass jazz (?) beat going that he does near the end of the song..

i know im a retard.. oh well haha

    good cover!

  • @mrkamizaka Cheers man! Yeah haha, gotta love the random funky jazzy bit. Very fun to play once you get it down. Nothing retarded about learning mate, took me a few tries to get that down as well. First thing you need to do is play without the track and slow it right down. Worked for me - give it a try and post your results!

    Thanks again |m|

  • Like i said bro, best drum cover i ever saw!

  • @LegoMark1 Thanks a bunch man, appreciate that.

  • "Ear protectors must be worn" , yes, safety first ;)

    Nice cover anyway ;)

  • @Snake1410PL Hehe, bit more of a joke on my part. My neighbours hate me ;)

    Thanks for the kind words!

  • @Zer0MT

  • dude, as i said nice one²

  • @kettzinn Thanks dude =)

  • i hope Sony cant see this video because they deleted a lot of video which are covers.

  • @kemalbjk27 Yeah, I saw that before. I got a 'copyright content warning' or something like that when I uploaded so they're aware that the original music is owned by Sony. I guess it would have been removed by now if they were gonna...

  • best of all the drum covers on the youtube.

  • @kemalbjk27 Thanks for the compliment =)

My playing is quite sloppy but it's a learning curve.

  • this song owns!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @grabat1 Indeed. It's only a very short song but it's pretty catchy!

  • is the mapex kit good quiality? im trying to buy a double bass one

  • @ICETHEMUSIC Mapex have quite a few kits in their range, but this one (the Horizon HZB) is great value AND quality. Definitely go for it.

  • @Zer0MT Yeah i was looking at the HZB one.

    Alright, ty

  • I agree with Nizan and SMG...Great cover.

  • @FLPCNERDScom Aw thanks, I appreciate that.
