  • I guess you can't use this thing for a road trip or anything. Electricity is not like gas where the "charging" of a gas car is instantaneous. Where you can put 5 gallons of gas in your trunk and drive for miles. How are you supposed to take energy portably on the road?

  • @RealityBend Eventually there will be charging stations.

  • A. I'm glad Tesla is making this car, to show what is possible....

BUT....any product that forces you to remember what certain colors and blinking rates are supposed to mean is a pain in the neck. Seriously...they couldn't put a simple "meter/gauge" inside the charging door?

  • @ELECTECHNUT tesla was great scientist at Tomas edison times.. he have passed away long long time ago. most of his work was ignored because his ideas could be well used in weaponry, that is why some side of our world wanted to took his work, discredit him, and hide his greatest discoveries so they can use them and develop further alone, having an advantage.

  • @ELECTECHNUT I'm sorry you can't remember that amber is not fully charged and green is fully charged.

  • @xRoflCoptoRx Ha ha. I'm talking about "average Joe." Red, yellow, and green appear to be only 3 levels of charging. My crappy phone has a better indicator of battery status! A $90,000 car should provide a little more information, otherwise the owner may be walking down the highway, cursing the car that was supposed to be more reliable than a gas car. I don't think that's asking too much.

  • @ELECTECHNUT True.

  • Cargando el coche sin el maldito olor a gasolina, sin mancharse, y cuando uno lo quiera.

  • Model S takes only 45 minutes to charge...

  • Makes you wonder?

  • I bet the big 3 would say "It's too complicated."

  • Wow, how long (hours) normally would it take to charge?

  • They told us it takes about 3.5 hours to charge.

  • look at this way... the car's electric... fine doesn't need petrol at all... but where does the electricity comes from? turbines... what turbines need to run? petrol so its basically a car that doesnt "use" petrol :) unless you're using the energy wisely and buy i dont know solar panels or Solar windmill you would be doing a good choice there :)
