There's a couple things that need addressing, and they aren't socialised health care or U.S./Canada rivalries (however unfounded).
John Mayer is a great musician. Jennifer Aniston is a fantastic actress. They both have careers in media/pop culture professions, so they are made out to be evil or saintly depending on what they are alleged to have said.
Aniston may be looking for love in all the wrong places (Hollywood? bad.)
Mayer is definitely a media baby, but he knows how to sell tickets.
